The Altar Boyz Musical Hits Manila This April

Repertory Philippines‘ local production of Altar Boyz hits OnStage Greenbelt from April 4-27, 2008 (please see below for schedule and ticket details). I had the opportunity to meet the cast and listen to the director, Chari Arespacochaga, during Altar Boyz’s presscon last week. More than acting, those boys can sing. And dance! FTW?! I thought only I can do that?! (This is the exact moment when lightning struck Fritz. In the shin. And face.)

Below is a video clip I put together from the vid caps I got during the presscon. Please take note of the following because I wouldn’t want you judging the play with what you are about to see:

- The presscon was held in MyCinema Greenbelt 3 while the actual show’s at OnStage Greenbelt 1,

- We were told that the cast will be accompanied by a live band during the actual show,

- What they are wearing in the clip may or may not be their costume (I never asked so I’ll find out during the show),

- The cast only did two songs during the presscon,

- Background music used on the clip is not from the show’s score,

- I took the footage so pardon the shaky cam 20 seconds into the clip. And most importantly,

- I am NOT in the cast. Sry2say, fans. I’m really really sorry.

The vid and the rest of this post through here >>
