Triple Chocolate Mousse
Ever since my constant eating companion went AWOL on me (wink!), I have not gone out to eat at all. I mostly stayed at my desk and befriended the trusty microwave at the office pantry.
I guess I missed a lot during those bagged lunch days because I saw some new additions to the classic confections menu when I recently visited. This brown polka dot mini cake beckoned to me from the glass counter. I stooped to get a closer look at the tag… which said triple chocolate mousse. And the exact same words escaped my lips. I could not help but order it even if I was really bent on rekindling my relationship with the mango torte.

Globe’s P5/15 Minutes Mobile Browsing Promo
Globe Telecoms just launched a new browsing scheme aside from the 0.15/kb. They are now offering a P5/15mins. browsing fees. This is great for those who are into looking at photos, surfing, reading emails, and the like.
However the only downside of this service is that once you get disconnected before the 15 mins. end, you will be charged another P5 for reconnecting even if the first 15 mins. from the last connection has not yet lapsed.
I just hope that the case would not be the same to the poor service of Smart. When I browsed, even without consuming the 30 mins. i got charged not only P10 but more than P20. I don’t know if others experience the same problem I encountered, but i felt cheated by this telco. Of course, they would not act on this kind of problem since the burden of proof always fall on us consumers. There are no time logs on our phones after browsing, right? Therefore, no proof.
Poverty – A Choice
Poverty is not a new thing in the Philippines. From the quiet municipaties to the busiest metropolis it is present. Beggars, slum areas, loan sharks (a.k.a 5-6), and pricey junks (a.k.a ukay-ukay, car and appliance “surpluses”) are just some of the evidences of poverty.
Since time in memorial, poverty has already been a problem in the country. It is really puzzling why until now, despite of the modernity of the world and the existence of fields of studies dedicated in financial management like Economics, the situation is not getting any better, instead it is worsening.
Now comes a question: who should be blamed for it? If the people will answer majority will say the government and the politicians. Yes, somehow they contribute to the problem considering the fact that the Philippine Government is one of the most corrupt in the world, but is the government and the politicians the main culprit? The answer is no.
Criss Angel Flies
I have never heard of Criss Angel in my entire life, until one day I was on The Richness Forums chatting with my loves, Pinkislove00 and Storie, and Pink talks about Criss Angel. I was like, “Criss who?”. Then I found out that he’s an American with Greek lineage illusionist. The only American illusionist I knew was David Blaine. I’ll never forget the illusion he made with taking his heart out. Sick. Poor Carson Daly was cringing. I did a little research and well, turns out David’s more of an endurance master rather than an illusionist. Criss Angel, however, just amazes me. Seriously. Getting rolled on by a steamroller, hit by a car through a block wall, walking on water, getting cut in half by a 4-foot saw, and even getting nailed into a coffin which was shredded in a wood chipper with him inside and surviving it.
