Manila Ocean Park
I have been reading tons of articles on people’s visits to the Manila Ocean Park located behind the Quirino Grandstand and have been wanting to go to see this now famous oceanarium. We finally got our chance during the long weekend.
My family and I planned our trip for early morning hopefully to avoid the crowds. Unfortunately, ensuring that everyone gets packed, fed and ready to go is not an easy feat. This is especially with 2 boys… well 3 if you count my hubby. Haha. Still we arrived early enough to park easily and jump in line to the entrance.

This workshop designed for advance amateurs (who attended basic photography workshop or have prior knowledge in camera operations already)
9am-12nn: The morning workshop will be dedicated to lighting the nude, conceptualization. All participants will learn how to capture in fine art photgraphy the female form.
1pm-6pm : Creative lighting with paint effects will be the main activity in the afternoon. Participants will do collaborative hands-on body painting with two models and will have the chance to create their own compositions.

Idol Gives Back 2008
Last year, American Idol organized an event called Idol Gives Back. This event became the biggest hit on television overnight, garnering over $75M in a very short period of time. Tomorrow, April 9, 2008, Wednesday at 7:30-10:00 in the evening, ET/PT, Idol Gives Back airs once again, raising awareness and more funds to the six charities that they will be benefiting. The following charities are as follows: U.S. Programs and the Children’s Health Fund, Save the Children, Malaria No More, Children’s Defense Fund, Make It Right, and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

It’s like that I’m at home seeing old folks during the scene I left years ago,Its like a nostalgia manila mania for me. Saw lots of exhibits, sculptures, bargain books, customized, useful and useless items.

Wal-Mart will not seek the $400,000 money from Debbie Shank and hopefully this incident would warn companies against exploiting their employees. This issue is not about who’s right and who’s wrong. Sometimes, we have to think with our hearts and not think about getting more money.
