Where to Next? (Wanderlust Asks for Travel Advice)
I’ve always had the heart of a kaladkarin (from the same Tagalog verb which means “to drag; to haul along”). I’ve never made a secret of the joy I get from going to new places and just drinking everything in, no matter the destination. Whether it’s a trip to the glitzy and cosmopolitan or the rustic and back-to-basics, if I’m free, I’m in.
Summers have always triggered a serious attack of itchy feet; this, the longest summer I’ve ever had since I started kindergarten, is no exception. But now that I’ve indulged my inner lakwatsera (n. “wanderer”), she simply doesn’t want to stop.
So does anyone know where I can take my itchy feet next?
My mineral makeover
I recall that I was the last in my family (of 3 girls) to ever appreciate the benefits of cosmetics or makeup. Although I was always intrigued when I watched my mom perform her morning ritual of putting color on her face. Its just that I was hesitant for a long time to pick up the skills she so clearly displayed with putting on makeup.
My entrance into the corporate world was not exactly colorful… literally. My dad used to reprimand me for not even putting on lipstick as I ran out the door. He would always say I looked anemic. That time my only constant companion was Pond’s face powder and nothing more.
May 1 is RSS Day
May 1 may be more famous in the Philippines as Labor Day, but on the other side of the world, a campaign to raise awareness about RSS is also happening today.

Men better than women

Fact : Men are better than women… Since then till now… It is a fact… Women who gets respected by men are women that know these facts.
Don’t get me wrong, no one is going to stop you if you want to be the next oprah or suze… The fact is that not too many succeed is because men are really better of at most things.
All comes down to what you want to do with your life. If you want to be that tough girl that wants to bash everyone in the head, go be a manly type girl. But I doubt you get the man you’ll dream of. This is every man’s fantasy, a maria clara but a fighter inside.
Never blame society for what is happening, everybody have the chance to be heard if you can first show them instead of telling them.
HOW BLOGGING CAN CHANGE THE WORLD?
Like nuclear science and all other technology, blogging has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or evil depends on the blogger who posted it. A drug can heal or kill and such is blogging can be useful or harmful.

2008 World Pyro Olympics – Tuloy na Tuloy na!!
We’ve all been following the news about La Mancha’s World Pyro Olympics, and we’ve all witnessed the delays and changes in the line-up of participants for this year’s WPO. But guess what? Tuloy na tuloy na!! Yes, the 2008 World Pyro Olympics will start this Saturday, May 3rd and there’s no stopping this grand pyrotechnics event in the Philippines (NOT even strong winds and heavy rain – we were there during the 1st WPO, twice it rained hard, but the show went on!)
