Writing gigs for Budding Writers

I have been out of job for months and within those money drained months I have been sending my resume’ and attending series of interviews to different call center companies that I know of but unfortunately my search for that elusive dream job have not yet landed on my hand. Sometimes it can be really draining and devastating to know you failed the interview (again!) and at times I felt like the world was conspiring against me. Well, not all of the companies I applied for dumped my resume in the trash can.

There is this one company which told me that I will be called back for the near-hire training. It is a training for those whose call center skills are marginal and needs more honing, it will take 2 weeks for us to finish the entire curriculum and the good thing about this is that it is a paid training. But good heavens, it’s almost 2 months since that interview and still they haven’t called me back and I am getting a bit impatient already. As much as I want to lose my hope, I can’t do that because hope is the only wisdom that is left in me at this time of my life.

Due to lack or absence of employment opportunities, while I am waiting for that company to call me back, since I have a few months’ experience in web content writing, a great idea came into my mind. Why not become a freelancer? A freelancer can do different jobs and a lot of companies online are offering this kind of job to those who are willing to work for them provided they meet the standard of the company. Jobs can range from writing articles, editing or proofreading on any topic that pleases you to work on. It is a freedom for you to be able to choose any job you want and at the same time having the financial freedom that we all been dreaming of.

This afternoon, I applied for two writing companies online. I just hope that I will get accepted to either of the company. I am praying…
