A couple of days ago, there’s this brewing idea of making text messaging services in the Philippines free of charge. If that proposal gets granted, imagine this nation truly living up to its prestige(?) as a texting capital. But there are IFs and BUTs there. Come to think of it, nothing really is free these days. You have to ‘pay’ for it one way or another. As for free text messaging? There’s a method in the madness and madness in the method, as De Quiros puts it.
