Chicken Balsamico

This is a dish I made based on a recipe by Linda Gassenheimer in her book, the Low-Carb Bible. I made some modifications because I found myself liking the dish but feeling that there’s just something missing in it (and too much tangy taste). I love her recipes because the food, though low-carb, don’t make me feel deprived, taste great and easy to cook, especially for someone like me lacking in cooking skills! :-)

“Ten Things Women Should Consider When Dating Men”

Are you the kind of person who is very choosy when it comes to dating? And are you the kind of woman who at the early stage of dating course, end a booming relationship even without knowing the person any further whom you are dating? I know most of us just want to meet a nice man who has great potential to become a lover, someone we can fall in-love with and eventually marry and share the rest of our life with, are we not?

Yah, I hear and understand you girls, very much so… I am one with you. In all honesty, I am losing hope with the declining number of great single men in the love market nowadays. Or are we just afraid of meeting those jerks who will just make us fall in-love and then when we are so already dependent on them, and seem like we cannot live without them, will suddenlly leave our broken hearts spilled on the ground? Ouch! I know nobody wants to be in that state of emotions anymore… ever again!! Because of this, sometimes some of us becomes commitment-phobic.

According to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the author of “Kosher Sex”, there are two kinds of people who are commitment-phobic: one is passive commitment-phoebe, it is a person who hinders a passionate romantic attachment even before it grows by dating unsuitable persons, and the other one is the active commitment- phoebe, who gets afraid and constantly looking for ways to get out once the relationship tends to get more serious. Are you one of these? I know, nobody is perfect. Some of you may have dated men who in the middle of your conversation answers his phone, or a workaholic, or not close to his family. For some people, these signs could be red flags.

Extra Challenge: Saving 2 Megapixel Portraits with Photoshop

Before the Nokia N82 (five megapixels), even before the Samsung U700 (three megapixels), I used to carry around the then schmexy Motorola V3X, 2 megapixel snapper of a clamshell-type mobile phone. At times when I would get the urge to just point and shoot at people, the camphone is instrumental in curing the creative itch. The down side is, although the composition would almost always be impeccable (wink wink), the image output leaves much to be desired in terms of colors, depth, and contrast to name a few. Hell, it’s the general problem that plague users of mere point and shoot cameras.

Two years after I took Rochelle’s (my good friend’s) portrait, two years after I’ve tried editing the photo firsthand by only adjusting contrast and hues, would my newfound Photoshop killer skillz do more with an otherwise great photo? Another challenge is would said skillz work with an image taken using a two megapixel camphone? The result may make or break Scott Kelby’s reputation, author of the book The Photoshop CS2® Book for Digital Photographers so I better represent, ho!

The Lange Foundation – Jillian Lange

The Lange Foundation – Jillian Lange

The Lange Foundation featured on Oprah is a foundation dedicated to adopting animals/pets that no longer have their homes. Therefore, stopping or minimizing pet killings, those are on deathrow on most shelters that don’t have space.

It would be nice if we have something like this in the Philippines. Anyways, here is the video on Oprah.
