John Maxwell live in Manila
I was fortunate to be sent by our company as a delegate to John Maxwell’s Building REAL Leaders leadership summit at the Edsa Shangri-La hotel. The best-selling author and motivational speaker once again comes to Manila to give practical leadership tips and ideas to hundreds of the Philippine’s leaders from various companies.
I was wowed with John Maxwell’s presence and energy. No wonder his work has swept leaders across the globe off their feet. Every minute of the seminar was enlightening and energizing and I wanted to share some of the tips I learned from this leadership guru.
Debris and Hubris
Stare into the Abyss long enough and it stares back at you. Or stare into history long enough and it stares back at you with cunning eyes. I suspect that the more we study history, or read it in the dusty pages of archaic tomes, the more we give life to it, the more we bestow meaning unto it. Which is perhaps why some people have become prone to saying that we are a forgetful race, unable to cope with the lapses of our memory precisely because we simply cannot afford the time to stare into our history. It might as well have become the case that we are no longer snatching the life out of our violent, and bloody, history. More so, it might as well have become the case that we are killing it, page by page, leaf by leaf, book by book, hero by hero.

Independence Day – Philippine Freedom
110 years may pass and so on. Our nation changes from time to time. Some say its getting better, and some say its getting worse. All I can say is, I hope the Katipuneros who gave us this freedom are proud and happy. I hope each and every one of us, on this day, or even everyday in our lives from henceforth, let us all embed in our hearts and minds the principles of the Katipuneros. Let their blood flow within our veins and become Katipuneros as well.
Independece day, read more..
