An avid reader of this blog sent me a link of the promo Fly away to LA with Piolo and Angel. If you are updated on my latest blog posts, then you would probably say that this is somewhat very similar to the post Who wants to Win a Trip to L.A.? For those who sent me an email, you know who you are, your chances of winning just doubled. All you have to do is resend your emails and give a reason why you should be the one to Fly away to LA with Piolo and Angel.

When I first heard about the new TV show on GMA called “Ka-Blog”, I almost jumped to my feet.

With not much attention from the public, the Supreme Court approved last September 9 a new Rules of Procedure for Small Claims Cases (A.M. No. 08-8-7-SC) which took effect last October 1.
The Rules introduced a lot of innovations one of which is the banning of lawyers in such proceedings. According to it, no attorney will be allowed to appear in behalf of or represent a party at the hearing, unless the attorney is the plaintiff or defendant.
How’s that for “fixing” our court system? Read more at Law Monitor.

I discovered Martin Yan at the same time that I discovered the Asian Food Channel being offered by my local cable provider. His show takes you around China and its provinces to discover, of course, food. In one episode, he found a small street restaurant that displayed large smoking wok’s being used to stir fry vegetables and noodles.

Sometimes, when we are too close to something, we fail to see its beauty. This is probably the reason why there are still many Boholanos, especially those living at the coastal areas, who have yet to visit the viewing deck of the Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol, or even the new one in Sagbayan, Bohol.
Because we know it is just nearby, we sort of miss out on how extraordinary the thing is. It is exactly the same with the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon, Bohol, the second oldest stone Church in the Philippines. I don’t think many really appreciate its place in the history of our country.
