Our Neighbor Chris

Our neighbor, Chris, is a jobless husband.

Farming at his own backyard to feed his family, he would sometimes provide us with some of his harvested vegetables especially during days when we had no money to buy food. He learned his farming skills from his dad who is a farmer by profession. He was also our handy man at times when we needed certain fixes in the house. Chris grew up in a rural area, a small, laid-back farming village at the foot of the mountains of Arayat, Pampanga, wherein people have dinner at 5PM, sleep at 8PM, and wake up earlier than the rooster to work in their land.
