bilyar.NET’s Xmas Party!
Friends, an online site I co-own, bilyar.net,
held its first ever Christmas Party on December 27, 2008,
at the Hobbies of Asia Billiards Hall, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City!
With the help of friends and participants, we managed
to pull it off! And I kid you not!
Here a short video clip on the fun we had that night!
Hope you like it!
Happy New Year, friends!

And here’s another video
featuring Singapore’s #1 female pool player,
Charlene Chai, who dropped by for a visit in 2008.

Perfect cover up
Are you like me? Do you wish you had the perfect body? You know, ample perky breasts, cute little booty and toned abs like you worked out regularly? Ok keep wishing. Well for those who ARE like me, then a little bulge should not hinder us from being our most fashionable or most confident (my hubby is actually looking at me right now like I’m being weird or something – Men!).
Inday: Oh sir you’re gonna love it? Remember how the media always reminds us to avoid using...

Spring 2009 of Stella McCartney

Speaking of Stella McCartney, has anyone seen her creations for LeSportsac.
The company that was infamous because of TokiDoki invited Stella for a little fun. (Fall and Spring 2008)
These bags are like TokiDoki sober with dashes and splashes of Stella’s subtle yet statement-making ways.
Other collaborations are with H&M (the advertising is cool!), Adidas, and Target Australia. (more here)
Recently her collections for Spring Summer 2009 consisted of laces, soft fabrics, men’s tailoring and a monochromatic head to toe look (flesh tones, to stone gray, and the classic black and white).

Some By Chance, Some By Choice: In reference to an article by Nancy Rome
I read an article on being childless from the Washington Post and thought I must share it here. Here is an excerpt from Nancy Rome’s Childless: Some by Chance, Some by Choice
“No, no, sorry. I don’t have any . . .”
Why does this always seem to be the first thing I’m asked? It takes my breath away, yet why do I feel the need to apologize for my reply? Looking vague and embarrassed, my questioner glances over my shoulder for someone else to talk to: someone with whom he or she has more in common, someone with children.
I never thought I’d be childless. Thirteen years ago, my husband and I were expecting our first child. I was a healthy 37-year-old when I went into labor one chilly November morning. We raced to the hospital, the atmosphere between us full of anticipation and anxiety.
The delivery was normal; almost everything was normal. Except that our daughter was dead.
Nancy’s account on that November morning sent the chills to my spine. I could not imagine what it must feel like to lose a child after carrying her in your womb full term. I would have been really devastated.

Christmas Economics
My blog is distinctly missing a Christmas greeting and it’s not because I’m Scrooge in the flesh. Despite appearances, I am a Christmas fanatic. I studied in Catholic schools where every year, traditional tableaux reminded me of whose birthday it was we were celebrating. For some strange reason, I was never chosen to play Mary, Joseph or one of the three kings. The closest I could get to a role in a school tableau was as donkey alternate.

PAL cuts fuel surcharge anew
MANILA – Philippine Airlines is again reducing its fuel surcharge on selected domestic and international flights effective January 1, 2009, to reflect the decline in oil prices in world markets.
The reduction will be up to $45 on some international flights and up to P100 for most domestic sectors. PAL will likewise reduce by P1 per kilo the fuel surcharge imposed on domestic cargo.
For PAL flights originating from the Philippines to international points, the surcharge will be lowered by as much as $45 per flight.
For PAL domestic and PAL Express flights between Manila and other domestic points, the surcharge will further drop by P100 for most sectors.
