While the Chicago Bulls will play most of their remaining games at the United Center, a road win over the Indiana Pacers could give them some nice momentum as they head into that home-heavy closing stretch.
Looking to strengthen their hold on a playoff spot, the Bulls visit the Pacers on Tuesday night in the second meeting in four days between the division rivals.
Chicago (36-39) has a two-game lead over ninth-place Charlotte for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth, but it’s also battling Detroit for the seventh seed. The Pistons, who host the Bulls on April 13, moved a game ahead of them Sunday when Chicago lost 134-129 in overtime to Toronto.

Skysports.com has reported that Arsenal striker and Pinoy Premier League fantasy team Atletico Iloilo player Robin Van Persie has dropped out of the Netherlands’ World Cup qualifier against Macedonia. The Utah Jazz struggled with a fast-paced opponent last week, losing one game and barely avoiding their first home defeat in two months.
They’ll try to correct their mistakes against another up-tempo foe, as they put their 15-game home winning streak on the line and try to improve their positioning in the crowded Western Conference on Monday night against the fading New York Knicks.
Utah needs a strong performance in its final 10 games if it hopes to catch first-place Denver in the Northwest Division and potentially earn home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
But the Jazz (45-27) didn’t play well in a home-and-home set against Phoenix, losing 118-114 on the road Wednesday night and laboring to a 104-99 overtime victory in Salt Lake City on Saturday night.
They blew a 21-point third-quarter lead Saturday, needing a 9-2 run at the end of regulation to catch the Suns and continue their longest home winning streak of the season. Deron Williams hit an 18-footer to tie it with 13 seconds left, then scored seven points in overtime, finishing with 21 points and 13 assists for his fourth straight double-double.

Though they rank among the NBA’s worst teams, the Golden State Warriors have put together a strong stretch at home thanks largely to prolific offense.
That formula for success, though, will be harder to maintain without Stephen Jackson.
With Jackson out for the season, the Warriors come off a winless road trip looking to avoid being swept in their season series with the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
Golden State (25-48), which has not had its full lineup all season, announced Saturday that Jackson will undergo surgery Tuesday to remove a bone fragment in his left big toe. The veteran swingman ranks among the NBA leaders in minutes per game at 39.6 while averaging a team-high 20.7 points.
