Last week had its fair share of environmental depressants. That’s thanks to the Sulu kidnappings, Manalili’s commuted sentence and Chip Tsao’s overboard apology. One piece of news though caught my attention in particular. Surprisingly, it was more amusing than depressing.

Mindanao Goldstar’s April 4-5 weekend issue published a paid article that presented a certain Dr. Salvacion Legaspi-Kempe’s claim that a Chinese settler once owned the Philippines. According to her documents, the English Supreme Court issued a decree on January 17, 1764 that gave Prince Lacan Acuña ownership of the Philippines. Kempe who is from Iligan is allegedly a descendant of Acuña. Which means…

R4i for DSi

The R4i is said to be replacing the R4 for the all new Nintendo DSi.  No word if the R4i is from the same manufacturer as the original R4 but it carries the same promise.

If you haven’t been around the DS scene lately, all current flash carts don’t work with the DSi, save for maybe the one from Acekard and the R4i, the R4 for Nintendo DSi.

So it is now confirmed in the April 2009 issue of Marie Claire Philippines, that it is the last and final issue for the glossy magazine that has been a source of inspiration for many women, like me.

Philippines Ranks 85 in the GlTR 2008-2009

to those who aren’t really fond of surveys (like me ehem), i read in inquirer.net today about the Global Information Technology Report (GITR), wherein Philippines ranked 85 out of 134 countries in terms of network readiness assessment.
