Nonito Donaire dominated his debut match on the Super Flyweight division by outscoring Rafael Concepcion to take the WBA Interim Title. Judges scored 117-111, 115-113, and 116-112 all in favor of Donaire. His current record is 22 wins and 1 loss(now with 21 consecutive wins).

Concepcion’s left eye was cut open by Donaire’s jab midway through round two. This bothered him much in the early rounds. But he still managed to stay in the match. Donaire on the other hand, used this advantage and was able to throw a flurry of punches at the end of round three which could have caused a knockdown on Concepcion.
