Dogs, Cats, and the River

Once upon a long time ago, there was a wide river that ran across the Land. On the Left bank, there arose the Kingdom of the Dogs, while on the right, the Kingdom of the Cats flourished.
For a long time, both kingdoms thrived and commerce across the river was brisk and profitable for Dogs and Cats. Until one day, a mysterious illness broke out on either side of the river.
The King of the Dogs immediately called for a meeting with the King of the Cats. Standing on opposite piers across the river,…
