New govt loan readied for OFWs’ storm-damaged PUVs

10/16/2009 | 06:34 PMOverseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with public utility vehicles (PUVs) that were damaged in the wake of "Ondoy" (Ketsana) and "Pepeng" (Parma) can avail of a special loan, the Labor Department said Friday.The Philippine Postal Savings Bank (PPSB) will offer the assistance, in linkage with the DOLE's National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO), and OFW Family Circle cooperatives."The facility has been extended by the President for their benefit, and we are thus encouraging OFWs...
