Why the fuck do they call them informal settlers? They’re SQUATTERS for pete’s sake!
Informal settlers makes ‘em sound like pioneers out to conquer the wild wild west with their covered wagons. Oh, wait – those were squatters too.
The point is simply this: anyone who tries to put down roots on land they don’t own ought to be called what they are – squatters. And it doesn’t matter if the land isn’t fenced in, or has lain idle for years either. If it’s...
