Metro Manila has a vibrant theater scene that begins in June and ends in March of the next year. There's a healthy mix of local and international plays, though non-Filipino and non-English language ones are usually translated into one or the other. Even then, performances of the sarswela—a genre that combines spoken and sung scenes, orchestral music, and dance—is rare nowadays. A foodie’s gadgets

I have been reading up on several bloggers’ DiscOVIries contest and only now found a theme that I can participate in. Surprisingly though, I found the theme through tech blogger Javyee instead of another foodie like me. His week 3 contest encouraged bloggers to show their passions in terms of the gadgets you have or use related to it. This theme is named: Display Your Gadgets. Javyee is a tech blogger so his photo included his collection of computer, camera and podcasting equipment. Nice. Read...

I regret to announce that the father of Prof. Danton Remoto, chairman of Ang Ladlad, the national organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender Filipinos, has already been laid to rest by God. He peacefully passed away at 12:00 a.m., oct 18, 2009.In behalf of the LGBT community in the Philippines and the officers and members of Ang Ladlad Partylist, I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to the Remoto family.May God give them the strength they need.His remains lie in state at St Ignatius...
