Bill legitimizes children of unmarried minors

Soon, there will be a legal process to legitimize children born to unmarried, minor parents.The legal solution is found in Senate Bill 3111, already approved by the Senate which will amend the provision of the Family Code declaring as illegitimate any child born to parents who were still minor at the time of his or her birth.The bill’s approval came amid rising cases of teenage pregnancies and children born out of wedlock.Senator Jamby Madrigal, chairman of the Senate committee on women, children...
