Freethinkers in the Philippines?

When I was a small kid back in the small town of Tinajeros, I’m as deeply religious as the ordinary Filipino. We all grow up knowing God. In fact, it is really impossible to imagine a Filipino not believing God and the church. God and church are an important part of the Philippine society.
Freethinking is not a part of the Filipino vocabulary. There is no translation available. The word “free thought” is an English word. If you deny the church’s doctrines and dogma you’re denying...
