Opposition government
Well of course she’s gonna use impeachment as a tool when she ends up in Congress. Isn’t impeachment precisely a Constitutional device to rein in the incumbent President? And so why should it be remarkable that – if she wins a Congressional seat – the new oppositionist Gloria Macapagal Arroyo should consider this tool available to her and her bloc as well?
Oh wait.
All this scenario building – not much of it really since everything being said is so painfully obvious...

What to do during boring teleconference calls
What do you do during boring teleconference calls?
Redesign other people's presentations, if you're Lesley. That's how she keeps herself interested in a call. She corrects typos, makes fonts and colours more readable, adds diagrams and animation, and generally experiments with how to make presentations better. She often sends the presentation to the original speakers so that they can take advantage of her work.
Want to try that during your next call?

New Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch!
Inspired by Dan Roam’s annotated-in-real-time presentation, I picked up a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch drawing tablet for portable use. I’ve got an upcoming talk (“Remote Presentations That Rock”) and I’ll need to deliver it from 3600 because of other appointments, so I can’t use my ever-so-wonderful Cintiq 12WX. I decided to spring for the multitouch tablet because I thought the extra buttons and multi-touch gestures would help me work as smoothly as I work on the Cintiq.

Eat to Educate
Finally I’m back. I’ve been away from Patay Gutom for the past couple of weeks, to avoid conflict of interests, after PG got nominated for Bloggers’ Choice Award in the recently concluded Philippine Blog Awards 2009. For my coming back post, I won’t be doing a feat about fancy restaurants but instead, I’ll be telling you about the good news of what eating can do to help send poor children to school.
I was at Serendra last night to witness the launch of “8 to Educate”,...

Day 2: Uniquely Singapore Tour
A highlight photo
I wasn’t aware of planned itinerary for the day. I was hoping that Sentosa is part of it. They say, an hour trip to Sentosa is not enough, and going to Sentosa should be a whole day trip. I dropped Sentosa in my mind and concentrate on the road while the bus takes us to our destination.
My eyes are locked on the road thinking that this kind of facade might the year 2050 in the Philippines. That this kind of facade is impossible for corrupt politicians to take in action of....

Style Studio: A Smile for Spring!
It’s the people who make you smile that matter most.
Who cares about those who try to wipe them away?
Just keep smiling anyway.
It’s amazing how different emails can make you feel different things within a matter of minutes. Recently, I’ve had the strange experience of receiving a series of emails from different people under varying circumstances that had contrasting effects to my emotions.
The first lot of emails made me seethe and weep. The other lot of emails made me smile. Even laugh...
