Chivas USA and the Los Angeles Galaxy will meet this afternoon (5 p.m. ET) in Game 1 of Major League Soccer’s Western Conference semifinal at the teams’ shared stadium, the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Though the intracity rivals meet in fiery derby matches every year, they have never clashed in the playoffs.
