Yep, I received the same message a while ago and now I am searching if this is a scam or not which led me to your blog.
The message goes like this:
“Greetings! This is Ms. Melba Padasay of COCOPLANS, Incorporated. We are proudly informing you that you are one of our lucky recipients who is entitled to claim the following:
1. Two-year DATAMEX SCHOLARSHIP Cert. with Free tuition fee.
2. FREE INSURANCE.
3. Other REWARDS & PRIVILEGES.
U may claim these items as soon as possible in our Quezon City business center, for mOre info.and for your security claiming cOde which you will need upOn claiming, you may call us TODAY between 9am-5pm at 410-5115 413-8911, or 414-1116 09325303152 or 09227281133

Maybe someone can tell if this is a scam or not. When you see the last line of the message the first thing on my mind is this is a scam. Why? 1. How did they get my phone number? 2. I did not give COCOPLANS any information about me if the information will be a criteria for selecting “lucky” recipients.
