JBC bows to Supreme Court on Chief Justice selection

The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) has opted to await the Supreme Court (SC)’s ruling on petitions on a proposal to allow President Arroyo to appoint the replacement of Chief Justice Reynato Puno before deciding when to submit the shortlist of nominees to the Palace.
