Develop Public Speaking and Leadership Skills by joining TOPS Toastmasters

At toastmasters you get the opportunity to accomplish all of the these goals and more within a supportive, encouraging, fun-filled, and skill enriching TOPS Toastmasters club meeting.

Once you get to TOPS Toastmasters, you are going to find that everyone has, for the most part, a goal. Some are looking to improve public speaking skills and others are looking for a ways to boost their self-confidence. TOPS Toastmasters helped the members became effective communicators. You get better chance of moving up in the promotion ladder if you know how to communicate and lead. No matter what your reasons are, TOPS toastmaster club is the place to get you started in the pursuit of your goals.

We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. We start our meeting at 7pm, however, I encourage you to come 30 minutes ahead so I or someone from the organization can introduce you to the members and to other guests. Originally, membership was open only to professional speakers, human resource managers, and leaders from various industries. Recently, the club has opened its doors to practically everyone who has the will to learn and passion to share. To maintain quality membership, TOPS qualify membership based on its held values. This is to ensure that every member will learn in a safe, friendly, and very productive environment.

TOPS Toastmasters meetings are no ordinary meetings. We come to the meetings to learn and share. Every speech delivered is evaluated, and every evaluation is polished. We help you become more aware of your weaknesses and mentor you to maximize on your strengths. But please don’t expect to see teachers telling you how to speak. We learn from doing. We follow a time-tested system that benefited millions of toastmasters around the world.

Being with people who care for others, in my experience, makes a learner gain the skills in leadership, communication, and public speaking faster. I am proud to be in the company of motivational and dynamic speakers like Louie and Avery Banta, Jean Lim, Jenny Monastrial, Ollie Sicat and other equally inspiring speakers. You will get to know each one of them when you join us in our next meeting.

Because, every member is a volunteer, we will not be asking you to pay us anything when you visit our club. The only time that will you pay is when you are accepted as a member of the club. The payment will be for your learning kits, materials, and a little contribution for the rent of our venue in Makati. Members will not get anything from your payment, but they’ll get your friendship and that is very important for us.

I may not have much time for many questions (people who fear speaking like asking more questions before they go to a meeting, unfortunately I must spend more time preparing for my next workshop or writing a book) but I will certainly give you my focused attention, not matter how short.
