Bricks. N. Leaves. Anawangin, Baby!

Roughing it.
It’s a trend that’s catching fire. Nope, not roughing it, per se, but the wording, although roughing it is no slouch either, and what you’d find is that as more and more people rough it, you see an inordinate amount of leaf pictures, shots of bricks, etc. missile-locking their way into your consciousness.
And the social networks – what did we ever do before social networks – have a nice little feature that emails people and tells them, “hey, your social network male-buddy-sorority-sister-daughter-friend has posted nice little pictures of bricks ‘n leaves, (BNLs) wanna have a look-see?”

I love shoes, it’s not like I have a countless of them but keeping them inside their original boxes is an eyesore. The boxes come if different sizes, colors, and styles. Free GPS in the Philippines
This year is a good time to buy a GPS capable phone because shortly after Google announced the availability of free turn by turn voice navigation in the US for their Nexus One phone, Nokia, to protect their worldwide leadership I guess, announced that it will stop asking payments for GPS voice guided navigation and will now give it away for free in all their GPS capable phones all over the world including the Philippines. Now I don’t need to buy it because my new phone already has it. Voice guided drive navigation and pedestrian navigation. Woohoo!
PUP, a miniature RP
For a third world country like us, where riches and pleasures of first class up to date materials deny most of citizens, education should serve as a golden ticket to escape the sinking oblivion of poverty. PUP [Polytechnic University of the Philippines] in its one of a kind offered standard of education, despite low tuition, must remain as this country’s beacon of hope for those eligible to be the next ‘Iskolar ng Bayan’.
I remember, college days, when we used to race classrooms to grab a seat, the slowest runner ending up sitting on an arm chair without arm sometimes rocking for lack of needed screws or nails, while we watch the unveiling of that grand obelisk behind Mabini’s bust along with the many other parts of the campus being overhauled.

The drop on prices of DLSRs made everyone wants to have one. Lately, I’ve noticed people carrying/ wearing their DLSRs around like a fashion accessory. You’d see people shooting inside malls, while dining and even while drinking coffee. Has the DSLR fad gone too much?
I had a couple of conversations with a friend about how people are so crazy with these cameras that they’d take it anywhere with them.
