the environment does not need further aggravation from politicians by in retrospect…

while the wife and i were on the way home, i decided to pass through Kapitolyo Village in Pasig City because of too much traffic along Shaw Boulevard… for all those who know that area, you’d have to pass by a circle in front of the Rizal Capitol, then go around that circle to cross over to Kapitolyo… found out later that the traffic was right after that circle, good thing i decided to go through Kapitolyo Village instead…

anyway, we were right at the circle when i noticed this:

me and my gadgets by in retrospect…

for the longest time ever, i always find myself with one gadget or another that i definitely cannot live without… back in college, all that i ever needed for school was my scientifc calculator… all the calculations that i need to do for my BS in Geodetic Engineering classes can be done by this small calculator, and my notes, if ever i need to jot them down, are in small pieces of paper borrowed/stolen from classmates and can be found in the nook and crannies of that calculator… it’s sort of a personal digital assistant [PDA], or at least, close to it…

nearing election time, how’s your list?? by in retrospect…

i am sure you already have your choices for the coming elections… and i am also sure you have your reasons why that particular candidate is on your list… but are your reasons good enough??

look at your reasons again, and match them against mine, and see if your candidates are good enough…

vote and don’t vote list by in retrospect…

since i have often lambasted candidates, senatoriables mainly, left and writeright, i have often been asked to post something positive and/or constructive on my pages for a change, to revel on a candidates’ good looks maybe?? or just to espouse his/her ideals… but when i was just about to start writing about this, i often find myself short of material… there is just not enough good things to say about a particular candidate except maybe gwapo sya or antangkad naman nya or wow! sexy!! BECAUSE [and this is with a capital B, E , COS] there no more such politicians today… those that you can talk about fondly and reminisce about all the good things he or she has done for the country… the likes of Jovito Salonga and Salvador Laurel are no more [yes, Shari, that's how old i am and that was why i was so righteuos...]… so why should i??

a bad experience over at Gerry’s Grill by in retrospect…

our HR manager last week decided to take us other managers out for lunch today… we decided to eat at Gerry’s Grill in Libis… and so, at about 11:30 today, all 4 of us bundled ourselves in a car and headed out for Libis… little did we know that this will be the biggest error we will do today…

The State of Philippine Internet — PLDT and Globe services from the perspective of a regular guy

the Internet has become a regular part of our daily lives and rue the day we find that we cannot go online to check our email, read online news, blogsurf, and such mundane, simple things that we’ve taken for granted thinking that they will always be on hand when and where we need them… true enough, there are now free WiFi connections sprouting around the metro — i even heard from a lady friend that Davao has a free city-wide WiFi connection — and you can’t turn your head without seeing an Internet cafe… it has become so commonplace that we can expect to be online anywhere, anytime even without a computer… there are now cellphones and phone services [3G, for example] offering online services for a measly P10 per 30 minutes!!

DONT’s to remember for the May elections by in retrospect…

i don’t want to be in the business of telling people who exactly not to vote for… that is not my job, or i might yet to be sued for libel… instead, i’ll be telling people what to look out for and to NOT vote for politicians doing the following:

those damned C5/Libis traffic lights by in retrospect…

dammit!!

who is/are supposed to be responsible for those damned traffic lights along C5 and Libis?? the MMDA?? the local Ortigas and/or Quezon City governments?? fuck!! someone should take them down!! they’re useless, anyway!!

i almost got into a traffic accident this afternoon because of one of these traffic lights which, although working, aren’t really used along that route, a clueless driver of a closed van, and a stupid driver of an FX taxi!! [so sorry for all these exclamations marks… i really am livid until now… sheessshhh…]…

all too real blog of AllTooRealMen by in retrospect…

now that you’ve had your vacations [5 days, eh??], it is now back to the grind, back to work, and back to dealing with all your problems in life… me? i stayed home and blog hopped all that 5 days, played RO, the wife and I were invited for a tasting, and we played a few rounds of badminton with Baddicts! last Saturday… suffice it to say that we took advantage of a traffic-free Manila…

in retrospect… » polyamory, is it for you??

because of the basically Catholic upbringing of Pinoys — which, in itself, is already bad enough — we were brought up that sex is a bad thing [no, it’s not!!], that it can only be used for procreation, that we can only have one — and only one — life partner, that, once married, we are committed to this person “till death do us part”, and that we cannot have more than one relationship — sexual or otherwise — with anyone else anymore… because of this very strict upbringing, men most specially, hide their “other” relationships from their girlfriends or wives for fear of reprisal from them and from the community they belong in… bigamy and polygamy comes into mind, then… but then again, these references only reflect states of marriages…
