HappySlip is in the Philippines!

It was just last week when the beautiful Christine Gambito of HappySlip announced on her blog that she’s going back to the Philippines! And just this morning, I got pretty excited when I received this Twitter update from her: “overlooking manila bay right now”. FTW, HAPPYSLIP HAS ARRIVED!!!

She did mention that there could be a Meet and Greet while she’s here; so while we wait for that announcement, I’m just curious, if you guys have the chance to sit down with Christine and ask her ONE question – what would it be?

To make things interesting, let’s make this a contest. I will give out 250 Entrecard credits to one lucky commentator for this question which will be chosen in random AND one bonus prize to another lucky blogger. I will only accept the First 50 Entries so hurry up! CLICK HERE AND JUST POST A QUESTION!

Announcement: uBlog, iVlog Winners!

Let me first apologize for the late announcement. I had tons of deadlines to beat the past week and enrollment in UP basically just got worse.

Of course, I would like to thank the judges who helped me decide on the winners – Ederic Eder and Gibbs Cadiz, I really appreciate it guys.

It was indeed very hard to choose among all the entries but we really enjoyed reading and watching your views and takes on Pinoy Vlogging. Look! We ruled Google! Great job, guys!

So now, here it is – the uBlog, iVlog: “Pinoy Vlogging” project winners: READ MORE

uBlog, iVlog: “Pinoy Vlogging”

Now, in the spirit of celebrating the birth of my new home (thanks BratyFly!), I have whipped up a mini-blogging project for everyone – open for all interested bloggers. This aims to spread the word about the magic of the growing craft of vlogging (video blogging) in the Philippines and to encourage pinoy bloggers to try it out.

And come to think of it, there has not been much about Pinoy Vlogging when you search it in Google. Hope this will be a good start.

Wanna join? Let’s do it!

Sneak Peek: Everything Thailand

“Akala ninyo bakasyon na kayo?”

I thought my brain just melted when I heard my thesis adviser told me this. After one hellish and toxic semester, it’s quite depressing to know that it may never end. Still got tons of requirements due next week and it’s almost November. Goodness.

Now you know why my “season break” is taking longer than what was originally planned. And it’s been exactly a month already since my last update. Gah. I missss this blog, I miss making videos. And I’m here to tell everyone (uh, anyone there?) that I’m still alive and plans for my next batch of vlogs are now in the works.

Oh, right. I twitted a couple of weeks ago that my Dad went to a business trip in Thailand. I might do a vlog on this with a special guest vlogger (guess who). And now, let me just show you a little preview – a sneak peek to Thailand’s culture and performing arts:

Blog Gets Ad Clicks Through Friendster!

It seems like people are getting more and more “creative” (or sneaky) in getting visitors to click on their ads. It could be as blatant as what Karlo posted. Or. It could be as subtle as this…

UPDATE! The Thank You Post: I Won Free Domain and Hosting!

Although I’m awfully down these days because I practically went blind broke my eye glasses in half just in time for 2 exams and a major thesis presentation AND I’ve been turning into this solitary creature/hermit I don’t have a phone for five, straight days now, I know I still got a lot of things to be thankful for since I started vlogging about 5 months ago. I’m not going to bore you with a very long post; I’m just looking back at all the good stuff I’ve had before I end this season’s run of CokskiBlue tonight:

1. Winning FREE DOMAIN AND HOSTING at PinoyBlogosphere.com’s BratyFly B-Day Post! I just had to post a comment on what I feel about PinoyBlogosphere.com and added some suggestions for the site and I got the prize! JM Tuazon also won a surprise prize from the birthday girl herself. Thank you very much BratyFly! This gift just came on the best time possible. You really made my day.

Now, the first name I thought of was CokskiBlue.Net (now I’m more leaning towards .com) but I’m worried about name-recall and people always misspelling my vlog’s name to “COKSIblue”. Should I change it to HiGuysThisIsCoy.com? CoyCaballes.com? Any suggestions? Help me out. Please.

Apparently, The Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2007 writing project is still making quite a buzz and waves of stories across our very own Pinoy Blogosphere Blogging Community – but for very different reasons and from very different perspectives.
Oh well, let’s all take a break from that guys. Chill. And remember the good times that was August 1, 2007. Come on, just spare this ten minutes. For peace. Yeah right. Haha.

Paglipas

Aking itong isinulat ilang taon na ang nakalipas. May pinagbago ba?

Oo nga may sumisikat ngang taga-Asya.

Emerging. Influential.

Joining Ms. Janette Toral’s writing project, The Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007, made me think what these words really mean. Which blogs could these be? I tried to build a somehow complex criteria but it just made my head hurt. Blog hopping for hours trying to find a site which fits “influential” perfectly zaps the energy out of me, let alone add more criteria names to my “to-Google” list.

So, to make life simpler, I’ve nominated blogs which have influenced and inspired me in some way, and have sketched new ideas to my skull.

Now watch my video entry and tell me what you think.

Huling Hirit

Man, I’ve got the worst hangover.

Of summer, that is. Since classes started this June, can’t seem to fully adjust to the new schedule I have to put up with. Maybe I miss the super hot days when I have no reason to leave the house or even get out of bed, the events we have to organize, or staring at the computer ’til dawn. It’s hard to focus on academics when Wifi can reach you almost everywhere and blog hopping could be as easy as a sit in the park. I need to let go.

So now, on the turn of a new month, I will firmly stand by my decision to leave behind (temporarily) some “luxuries” I had back then. Looking back, it’s been fun but I just have to think– Dude, you’re graduating dammit! — and that should shake me up and put my priorities in place.

Huling hirit na ‘to. Panoorin n’yo ‘to:
