Bunny Man Hunt #16

While I type this week’s Maruja Sunday Specials, take your time hunting for hot and elusive Bunny Man.
The Bunny Man Hunt is a weekly game in my blog wherein my readers search for “Bunny Man” hiding in an old entry. The first one to find him gets a speyshal link at my sidebar, just like our last week’s winner, Misterhubs.
And for the first time, the Bunny Man Hunt is also simulcast over at PinoyBlogosphere.Com. Everybody is encouraged to join!
For more details, check it out here!
A Moment of Silence
“Pagkatapos ng kasiyahan, kasunod ay luha.” — spoken in a 1980s TV commercial
This is my version of One Day Blog Silence.

Empress Maruja would like take a moment of reflection and silence in memory of a television colleague and one of his dearest friends, Larra Estandarte. I truly hope that justice will be served against her killer.
The weekly Bunny Man Hunt will resume tomorrow, Sunday, between 9 am to 12 noon.

Wala Akong Maisip?
Pampagana kumbaga. After 48 years, balik-sulat at balik-blogging ang ganap.
O siya, kanta muna tayo…
Commercial Break: Smooth-E Strikes Back
Aoi, the hilarious “transsexual” spokesperson of Smooth-E skin care products in Thailand is back with a vengeance. This time, she gets to touch the lives of seven teenagers with different problems, all of which can be solved with a quick rinse of the bubble-free face wash.
Only three commercials are featured in this post. I can’t find the rest kasi. Watch it after the jump…

Promise!
Nagtawanan kami.
Was Jaclyn Victor Robbed off Ikon Asean?

The issue about the “not-the-best singer in the Philippines” Vina Morales defeating the “best singer in Malaysia” Jaclyn Victor at the recently-concluded Ikon Asean competition continues to be discussed, almost violently, by fans of both singers.
Some Jac fans claimed that she was robbed of the title, while others say that she wasn’t at here element. Meanwhile, some Pinoys even criticized Vina as below par, that the likes of Regine Velasquez should have been in Ikon (Asia’s Songbird didn’t join). Others even joked that Jaclyn wouldn’t even win “Tanghalan ng Kampeon” (Championship Stage, our version of “Star Search” back in the day). We Pinoys never seem to run out of naysayers, ano?
And I don’t wanna even delve on the “ad hominems” on how we Pinoys are being “teased” by our Malaysian neighbors as their maids and prostitutes. That’s another story.
Here are the performance clips of the two singers and we shall analyze it one by one. Now don’t get me wrong, I adore Jac and I used to call Vina the lone female member of “The Maskulados.” That makes the analysis even.
Read it after the jump.
Kjwan and Vina Morales Win at Ikon Asean!

It’s a 1-2 Pinoy Punch as Vina Morales and Kjwan (pictured here with Ikon Philippines host Asia Agcaoili) both won in their respective categories at the just-concluded 1st Ikon Asean Competition! The event pitted professional artists from Indonesia, the Philippines, and host country Malaysia against each other, creating a unique musical extravaganza.

Nahihirapan akong kumambyo.”
Nagalit ako sa kanyang insulto. Lumabas ang aking Inner Joshua.
Don’t Be Gaya Gaya Empress Maruja

I stumbled upon a pretty neat, little upstarting company that sells De La Salle Green Archers-inspired t-shirts. Yup, the shirts look really hot (aside from the models, of course!).
However looking at the pics, the design became very familiar to me. I searched online and, bam…
