14th Hot Air Balloon Festival, Clark Air Field, Pampanga
Guess what, I happened to be at Clark Air Field, Pampanga, when they opened the 14th Hot Air Balloon Festival, an event they dubbed as a “weekend of everything that flies”. Armed with my clunky digital camera, I took tens and tens of pictures which I have converted to a video for everyone to see. You may watch the hot air balloon festival video at Pinoy Seminars.
List of free WiFi hotspots in Quezon City
For the reason that I have a new laptop (clap, clap), I have been compiling a list of free WiFi hotspots in Quezon City where we can access the net at no cost.
Interestingly, I learned that the two of the most “covered” areas are the Tomas Morato area and the Trinoma Mall at North Avenue, Quezon City.

List of Bohol town fiestas
They say that the island of Bohol sinks about an inch in May due to the thousands of Bol-anons who come home to attend the many town and barrio fiestas celebrated during the month.
You can almost feel this once you disembark from those overloaded ships docking at the Tagbilaran Port in May.

The Rules introduced a lot of innovations one of which is the banning of lawyers in such proceedings. According to it, no attorney will be allowed to appear in behalf of or represent a party at the hearing, unless the attorney is the plaintiff or defendant.
How’s that for “fixing” our court system? Read more at Law Monitor.
A pilgrimage to the Baclayon Church in Bohol
Sometimes, when we are too close to something, we fail to see its beauty. This is probably the reason why there are still many Boholanos, especially those living at the coastal areas, who have yet to visit the viewing deck of the Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol, or even the new one in Sagbayan, Bohol.
Because we know it is just nearby, we sort of miss out on how extraordinary the thing is. It is exactly the same with the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon, Bohol, the second oldest stone Church in the Philippines. I don’t think many really appreciate its place in the history of our country.

Melamine or melanine?
I am sure we all have heard about the milk catastrophe in China where milk manufacturers used a dangerous substance to fake high protein levels in milk. The practice has been exposed after several babies have died and thousands have been hospitalized in China due to illnesses caused by the substance.
Prepare Deed of Absolute Sale by yourself
In the Philippines, when we sell or purchase real estate unconditionally, we use a document entitled Deed of Absolute Sale. The “deed” is usually prepared and must be notarized by a lawyer-notary public and thus considered a public document.
Having your lawyer prepare the document usually means you pay more. Nothing actually prevents the parties from preparing the document themselves, and there are quite a few guides available on the net.
