Feeling Close: 2007 Senatorial Election — Vick “Yorgay” Magshayshay Edition
Shhhhh…Is it to safe come out now?
Ok. Since I trust you, let’s just do this in a hush-hush tone alright? I don’t wanna be sisig meat for the local PNP on their next videoke party (a.k.a. “My Way” drinking spree). I’m too cute for that! Ok not…but who would want to be their next “pulutan”? Certainly not me. I still wanna have a wife, kids, play with my grandchildren, attend videoke parties with my barkada and sing Linkin Park’s “Numb” when I’m in my 130’s (stem cell research does wonders mind you).
One of my friends actually thought it was safe to come out last Thursday. I told him not come out of the CAVE of JUSTICE (nice name huh! I’ll trademark that!) but he was so hard headed and so dedicated to serve the people that he never listened to what I got to say. Turned out he got himself shot after our drinking party but he’s OK now. So (this post) here’s to my close friend Delfy for his speedy recovery (woah! it rhymes!).
On Finding True Love In TV Chat Rooms
Usually these chat rooms have numerous people chatting at one time with topics ranging from the usual how’s-ur-day greeting to the more direct i-wanna-f*ck-someone-now-call-me. Talk about lack of inhibitions of our teens now huh? And mind you not only do girls and boys have all the fun nowadays but gays and lesbians as well. I don’t know if there is such a term used for this act but I would refer to this act as “cyber voyeurism”.
Heroes Episode 19 “0.07%”
Ok. If you just had goosebumps like me right after you read that date then you that could probably be caused by just two things. One is that April 23 is your birthday or you are a Heroes fanatic like me. Yup, Heroes is the bomb (well at least Ted is)! April 23 would be a holiday for me! I’m gonna lock all doors, close all windows and turn off my cellphone! If I’m not returning all your text messages or calls please do remember that it is April 23 (well, April 24 here in the Philippines) wait for the next day or until I get over the Episode 19.
A Love Letter For No One
I know you are there. Somewhere. You just have to be.
Dream Me A Wife!
Do you guys still remember my good ol’ buddy Bao Xishun? Yep, he’s the guy who bagged his wife after choosing her over numerous applicants from all over the world. Apparently he’s a celebrity for being the tallest man on earth. Now ladies let me remind you this equation once again just in case you all forget. Tall guy is not equal to long schlong. I could just hear Bao’s wife agreeing in whatever language she speaks. She says, ” Bao’s schlong not long but Bao’s balls on schlong go like ding-dong!”
On Enlisting in the Military and My Own Election Contest!
I still don’t have my mind set on who I will vote for senator come May 14. I’m too lazy to decide. So what about letting YOU (yes YOU) decide!
Here are the mechanics.
1. Post a comment with your list. Your votes should be according to your religion (Aethists and Agnostics don’t worry just read on). Whoever accumulates the most number of votes would be the politicians that I would (probably) vote for in the upcoming elections.
Prepare For The Longest Post Ever!!!
Enough of that “incident”. Nobody ever wanted that to happen. Be it the organizers, proxies, finalists, nominees and bloggers who went there for the historic event. Yup, it was historic in its own right. That was the first Philippine Blog Awards, wasn’t it? So it should automatically go down in the Philippine Blogging History books. And the organizers, sponsors, judges, nominees, finalists, volunteers, hosts and Pinoy Bloggers from around the globe made that happen. Shouldn’t you be proud if you were there or participated as history unfolded?
Feeling Close: 2007 Senatorial Election — Prospero Peachy Edition
Yes. It is election time once again. It is that time for these devils… errr politicians to harvest souls…I mean votes… for them to ascend to one of the finest institutions in the land. Where the noblest of the noble statesmen reside. Yes it is none other than the Gates of Hell err…The Senate.
Why Haven’t I Bagged A Date Yet?
Dude. How lame am I when it comes to the dating game? I mean this guy, Bao Xishun, who is a herdsman in Inner Mongolia, hooks up with ladies all around the world. And he’s not even trying to get their numbers in bars – the ladies actually give it to him. Then the applicants go through a “long selection process” and whoever the heck wins becomes his wife.
5 Things I Miss About: Washington DC
It’s already vacation time/summer season and during these past few days I only have one place in mind to where to spend a great vacation — Washington DC. We had the chance to stay there for a couple of days (courtesy of my Mom’s high school buddy) during the 2005 holidays. There were a lot of people (though I heard that compared to spring break and during summer there were more people around) or tourists visiting the National Mall and you could definitely feel the patriotism of the Americans who were visiting the various national memorials and monuments to commemorate their heroes and presidents. The experience left a mark on my whole existence (uy ang lalim! pramis! hehehe). I asked myself why can’t we ever build a decent place to remember our national heroes like this one? Of course we have the Rizal Park but can’t we build something that wouldn’t look anything like a circus and a motel with a statue in it? Anyways here’s a couple of things that I observed in DC which I would definitely want to see in our country in the next few years (wish ko lang!)…
