Barong Tagalog is my country’s National Costume for men and, in my early days in Second Life while learning how to create T-Shirts, I’ve always wanted to make my own Barong Tagalog for my avatar. A few days ago, I finally made one using my own clothing template and I’ve been wearing it since. I even bought a new pair of formal shoes to go along with it.

The Barong Tagalog comes in jacket layer only. There is no point in creating a shirt or undershirt version since Barong Tagalogs are worn untucked. A couple of days ago, while spending a few moments at my place in Second Life I asked my friend Mayumi if I can take a few snapshots of her. Mayumi has a very beautiful looking avatar and I was going to use the snapshots on the header of Shopping Lifestyle Merchants, a site that features items from the various alternative Second Life online marketplaces likemetaLIFE.
