As a Vlogger, Why I Ditched The Pinoy Tube
I don’t remember now how long ago it was when I found The Pinoy Tube, a video sharing site very much like You Tube, but geared for Filipinos. At least that’s what I thought it was at the time. I think when I first found the site it was still new because there were only a handful of people who were members. There was an extraordinary amount of porn, but I did notice that their porn was limited to the Adult category. There were plenty other categories like Community, Comedy, DIY, News, animation and so on.
So I joined, and made videos specially for The Pinoy Tube and placed them on the Community Channel, believing that one day it would become like a true community sharing site, very much like You Tube. They even featured my first video, which demonstrated my pleasant surprise at finding a Pinoy You Tube. I got a lot of views on my videos, which was great. I believed, perhaps naively, that once the site got popular, the porn videos will get edged out.
