Selecting the right job offer from the company you’ve applied
Do you remember the time when you finally got hired? After going through series of exams and interviews at last, you heard a “yes†from an employer. How about being accepted in more than one company you’re applying to?
Comic relief job advertisements
I’ve posted a similar entry before in my other blog regarding this but without an image. Haven’t bought my CX 2900 Epson Stylus printer back then. Now its time to present the picture. Judge if it really draws you to laugh or its plain corny. All are from Manila Bulletin.
Annoying IBM Daksh call center HR staff
Some people think that because they hold a position, they already have this enormous power to trip on someone else’s fate.
Let’s take a call center girl’s (whom I met while while applying at a call center in Cubao which, btw, have slow application process) story for an instance.
Challenges in Problogging, making money online
Others (non-bloggers, non-frequent internet users and some plain bloggers) may not be aware of the struggles budding full time professional bloggers have to undergo.
It’s not always about earning big bucks. I’m telling you, and I’m sure probloggers will agree, that revenue don’t come in an instant during the initial venture to this career. Alongside problogging are hassles, situations and trials telling you to quit at once.
Words from ABC News Head Ed Lingao
An ABC 5 commercial features former ABS-CBN war correspondent Ed Lingao (now Channel 5’s news operations manager) with spiels (this could have been more meaningful if only I remember his exact full lines or embed the actual video):
“Ang tunay na broadcast journalist kinakabahan pero sumusugod pa rin…
…kung wala kang hiya, mahiya ka naman. Kung hindi ka na kinakabahan, matakot ka na.â€
I hope I’m not putting words into Ed’s mouth.
Dreams and nightmares
No one is dispensable from the natural phenomenon sleeping brings. A reflection of our hopes, frustrations and darkest fears. See if you can relate with these instances.
Sadako’s well
Who among you became a victim of this odd-looking well which you rather choose to stay away instead of dropping a coin for your wish to be granted? You fall in this deep dark space landing nowhere. Before you know it, your sleep was already cut short. Continue reading >>
Free Apple iPhone and more cool gifts for job applicants
Hey, it’s 2008! A right time for bums and those planning to change career to have a fresh start this year by finding a job.
Companies, mostly call centers, as I noticed have this unconventional style of promoting their job fairs in newspapers to attract new recruits.
So what does an Apple iPhone picture doing in this article? Continue reading >>
Buying a new PC monitor
Not at the moment for me. I’m planning to get my current monitor fix or buy a secondhand. My Samsung SyncMaster 551v monitor is still in good condition actually. It is included in the computer set bought by my sister in 2002. The tricky part is you have to push the button of the monitor several times before you can start using the computer. Sometimes, it can be opened immediately in just one push. But most of the time, it’s a cause of frustration to anyone who wants to use it.
Contagious music + videos of 2007
Producers get damn measly cent from making music videos and yet, they continue to lure us with their so called masterpieces. Since MTV gave a new spankin’ meaning to the word music video, every artist nowadays just wants to appear on it. They use this as their pimpin’ tool to stardom. A video that can launch or ruin their entire career, forever.
