New Year, New Skin
For my laptop, that is.
And I had to trim it down because the skin is originally made for 14″ screens.
I love this shade of green, as it looks very soft and calming. Not so crazy about the flowers, though. But overall, I still like it. Forgot the store where I bought it. Hrhrhrhr. But...

Er, Donuts?
They look yummy, but they aren’t edible. Believe it or not, they are soap!
And they smell of caramel banana, caramel kiwi, caramel strawberry, caramel chocolate, caramel vanilla, caramel orange, caramel ube. Just take your pick.
Found them at The Soap Factory SM The Block branch. Haven’t...

A Club Mwah Experience
I live almost nearby the place, but it was only several days ago that I got the chance to see what’s going on inside the Venue tower which houses one of the most fantastic, Vegas-like theater clubs in the country.
I’d have to thank my fellow co-residents for being able to get into Club Mwah....

My Christmas Gift To Myself
Even atheists such as myself do celebrate Christmas, but not in a way religious people do.
More about atheists and Christmas in the blog posts to come. For now I just want to share how much I love this planner and how it affirms that I’m still very much a Treekiller. Harhar. Smooth texture...

Eradicate Poverty? Correct the Victim Mindset First
***Something I wrote a long, long time ago. Just wanted to share this, considering that we’re in the “season of giving” nowadays.
Should I feel guilty because I bought and consumed this drink, which is worth P150, when I could have just given a part of that amount to the poor kid...

What Do Doctors Want For Christmas?
I think I can easily answer this question. And the answer is not “world peace”.

Get The “Ice Cream Lover’s Yogurt”
…and eat it with a “golden spoon” at the Golden Spoon!
It’s a curious little new place just beside Starbucks coffee shop at the ground floor of Shangri-La mall. The space actually used to be part of Starbucks before it went under renovation.
What makes the Golden Spoon yogurt different is that it tastes almost like premium ice cream. It’s that creamy.
Confessions of a Hospital Slave, Part II
“The essence of all slavery consists in taking the product of another’s labor by force. It is immaterial whether this force be founded upon ownership of the slave or ownership of the money that he must get to live.”
- Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy
It was in March that I first wrote about the “irregularities” I experienced as a medical resident in training in the hospital. Perusing the post, I feel that I’ve stated much of my views already on what is needed to be corrected in the system. And in a way, a lot of events have already occurred since then. Sadly, however, nothing much have changed.

The Doubter
“Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you...
