Last March 14 was the last day of the  first Pyromusical olympics where pyrotechnics, light, and music go hand in hand. Skygazers have  surely noticed how extra brilliant and big  the moon on January 30, 2010.  A blue moon occurs every 2.5 years. Fly me to the Moon

The successful  landing  of Apollo 11 into this foreign celestial body is the culmination of more heavenly explorations. American ingenuities were  heralded for their  remarkable contribution to history and science. Proves  that  it’s not impossible for a man to fly into the moon.  Neil Armstrong’s name is forever  immortalized in our science books as the very first human to have set foot on the moon.

Kalesa at Ang Kutsero

Rarely these days that we see Kalesa on the road, be that, it remains to be our national vehicle.  It was introduced to us by Spaniards in the 18th century, used by high ranking officials and illustrados.  Today, jeepneys outnumbered the Kalesa,  the latter could be seen inside the walls of intramuros with its kutsero acting as tour guide.  In Binondo, Kalesa still operates, and being use as a mode of trasportation. A Weekend of Everything that Flies 2010

Another highlight of the event is the powered paragliding  exhibition of 5 or more paragliders, who appears to have enjoyed being up and up in the air. I noticed though that most, if not all paragliders in this event are all foreigners. CLICK TO READ MORE.

Quiapo- Golden Mosque

The dome of the Golden Mosque stands conspicuously coming from Quiapo bridge; A physical manifestation of the public presence of Muslims and serves as a point of convergence for Islamic activity. Panagbenga 2010

In 1990, Baguio was significantly damaged by earthquake, as a result the city’s tourism was badly affected.  The history of Panagbenga Festival dates back in 1995, the primary objective of this festival is to revive the tourists to visit Baguio City, after the catastrophic earthquake.
