Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby!

July 20, 2008

Betcha a hundred bucks, you’re going to read this post (or at least attempt to do so if I don’t bore you to coma) because you want to know how far I’d go with the sex talk. Well…far, baby. Really far. There will be no innuendos here. No euphemisms. No beating around the bush. Just bold, no-holds-barred talk about pure, wild, animal sex.

Probably the best part of relationships is the courtship stage, regardless of whether or not it would ultimately lead to sex. Imagine flirty glances, sweet smiles and sexy looks thrown at each other… To read more CLICK HERE.

Post a Photo for Team Philippines

July 20, 2008

An Olympic event is happening this August and it does not involve athletes. Yet it is an undertaking for one’s country of origin. It involves men and women who are occasionally trigger happy, some armed to point and shoot, some with more advanced skills and equipment. It may even be you.

The theme of this week’s challenge over at Shutterday is Your Country. If you want to support your country of origin, all you have to do is enter a representative photograph from now until July 26.

Myron’s Place

July 19, 2008

There are just a few places that stick to my mind when I think of steak - Alfredo’s (but I no longer remember the last time I was there), Larry’s Bar (which no longer serves Filet Mignon), and Steaktown in Shangri-La Mall (salad buffet - yummy!). One in particular caught my fancy when I was strolling along Mall of Asia. It was called Highlands Steakhouse. I did not try it at that time as I knew a meal cost an arm and a leg (about Php1500++). I haven’t gone to any of those places now and the last steak meal that I had left me disappointed.

Discover Cebu Writing Contest

July 19, 2008

I’m certainly leaning towards posting about Cebu now. And I really don’t mind. This post is pretty late too. I have decided not to enter the contests that I’m about to start posting on my blog, because well, I’m just way too busy with my personal life that I barely have anytime to update my blog. Full time blogging is fun, but right now I just need to focus on my real job. Anyway, this contest aims to promote Cebu in a way to highlight any tourist spots that you can find around Cebu, the cultural heritage and also the potential of the cities and towns of Cebu in the business field.

The contest is open to all individuals, students, professionals and bloggers. In short, just about anybody who has access to a computer.

Read up on the mechanics now.

No weekend play for Angelo Que

July 19, 2008

Sorry folks, Angelo Que did not make the cut.

He won a consolation prize though - valuable experience!

He actually started his second round at the British Golf Open quite brilliantly. A birdie at the 5th after a string of four opening pars placed him tied at the top 50 players. At this point, he was four strokes better than his start the previous day. Then lightning struck.

Misato

July 18, 2008

Do food automatically appear good or taste delicious if your stomach happens to be growling? I have heard myself say that during those times when its way past lunchtime and I buy myself whatever is available in the cafeteria - for hunger more than anything else. I have heard others think that out loud too. And because it happens every time (I am hungry), I assume that nothing will taste bad to me at this state.

Angelo Que better than past champs

July 18, 2008

Filipino ace Angelo Que made a remarkable start at his maiden major tournament at the 137th British Open Golf championships last night (RP Time).

After opening with a bogey with the jitters I suppose, he evened the next two holes and found himself sharing the leaderboard at No. 8. Even for just this brief moment, he was in the Top 10!

As it was past midnight, I went to bed with a happy smile with this in my dream:

Making Sense of Mangoes and Jet Fuel

July 17, 2008

A few weeks back Christophe was telling me how he loved eating mangoes: that whenever he visited the Philippines he’d take every chance to have some, and then when he returned to France he’d bring several boxes of it as well, both for him and his wife. So I asked him, “Why bring so many boxes of it? Aren’t mangoes sold in France? Why don’t you just buy them there?” Of course, in my mind I thought it was probably cheaper for him to buy them here than in his country where the markup could be tenfold, so he might as well seize the opportunity to get more for less. His response was similarly within those lines, plus something more.

A Plurker’s Manifesto

July 17, 2008

I’ve noticed that Plurk is slowly pulling some of my non-Internet friends and acquaintances. A sign of increasing popularity in the Philippines, perhaps? If so, I guess it’s time for me to shove a blog post about Plurk down your throats. I’ve been a plurker for more than a month now, and by Blogosphere Law, that means I can already act like a Plurk expert! So here, ladies and gentlemen, is a list of requests demands for all veteran, newbie, and future plurkers. Read it and live your Plurk life by it for the common good.

1. Make your user name short and sweet. For those of you who still don’t have a Plurk account but are seriously considering getting one, make your user name as short as possible. During discussions, people may link to your Plurk profile by typing your user name preceded by the at symbol (e.g. @baddie = baddie). Don’t make it a hassle for them to type a really long user name. Also, avoid using alternating letters and numbers (e.g. b0p01s). It’s annoying.

2. Go easy on your display name. When you reach 40 karma, you’d be able to change your display name. This is fun for you, and if you manage to change your display name into something funny or entertaining, it could be fun for your Plurk friends as well. But, don’t overdo it. Changing your display name regularly can be annoying. Also, don’t use special characters. It may look cool for you, but it will probably look like garbage in other people’s eyes.
