I mentioned to my colleague today that this week has been going quite slower compared to the previous weeks. Dunno why, just a feeling maybe. But work has not slowed down. Still maybe there is not much pressure. Sabai sabai, as they say in Thai.

Dear Toe,
I’ve been reading your blog in preparation for going to Cambodia. I am going there to teach in an International School run by a US-based missions organization, but I’m Pinay. Your blog has been very helpful and I’m grateful since I knew nothing about Cambodia until I started reading up when I got the job. I first applied last year but am only going to be able to leave in June (God-willing).
I promised my friends I’d keep a blog while I’m there, so I may be following in your footsteps… but that may be wishful thinking since this will be my first attempt at teaching.
I noticed a reference to Matabungkay Beach. I lived half my life right near that–on White Sands (now Terrazas de Punta Fuego). I wonder if my family knew yours?
But what I really wanted to ask you was that statement you made about Pinoys having “POEA”. I was just hired directly by the school and they’re handling my ticket and visa… so is there anything I should know and do aside from the papers they’re arranging for me? I understand if you can’t answer my question… but appreciate your taking time to read.
See you online, and keep up the blogging!

I was fortunate to be sent by our company as a delegate to John Maxwell’s Building REAL Leaders leadership summit at the Edsa Shangri-La hotel. The best-selling author and motivational speaker once again comes to Manila to give practical leadership tips and ideas to hundreds of the Philippine’s leaders from various companies.
I was wowed with John Maxwell’s presence and energy. No wonder his work has swept leaders across the globe off their feet. Every minute of the seminar was enlightening and energizing and I wanted to share some of the tips I learned from this leadership guru.

Last May 2, fresh from the NAIA Centennial Airport, I went straight to the office to go to work. I promised my boss to return that’s why even I was feeling off and my mind was still on a vacation frenzy, I still went to work. I first dropped by SM MegaMall to buy my lunch then just ate at my desk.
While I was on my way to the airport, I edited the resignation letter I asked from my friend. Right after I finished my lunch, I started typing my resignation letter and just made some minor revisions since I find my resignation letter very straightforward. Before I passed my resignation letter to my boss, I asked the opinion of my online friends if it’s okay already and if there are revisions that I should do. Most of them gave their approval.

I have a lot of classmates who doesn’t want to be in their course (computer science). It’s whether they want to be a fashion designer, photographer and other careers that are not related to computer science. At the middle of the semester, they shift to other course. Others are struggling because their parents want computer science for them. Realizing this, I want to save others from picking the wrong career for them. If you want to be a computer science major, then you need to consider these 7 questions.

There is no doubt that a lot of people want to enhance their breast size. It’s becoming more and more popular to get a bigger bust with out having to have surgery. There are women that still go for that surgical option, but they will often have fears of the side effects as well as what may happen after the surgery has been completed.
But, on the other side of the coin, people think that when it comes to a natural way to enhance your breasts, there is a fear that it’s a big waste of time for them. Women don’t want to put any kind of odd substance in their body just for a little help with their breasts.

No less than the President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, brands domestic helpers from the Philippines as supermaids, a term, they, indeed, so richly deserve. These domestic helpers have, for years, endured the loneliness and pain of being far away from home in order to be able to give their families a better life. Because of this, they have been well appreciated and admired by people all over the world. CONTINUE

I must admit, I
am immensely enjoying life as a wife and as a homemaker.
There was a time in my life when I thought I wasn’t cut out for this kind of life, homemaking sounded a little too boring, too insignificant, too unimportant, too small, too ordinary, too outdated… I once felt, and decided that it wasn’t me.
I thought managing a career is a lot more fun, a lot more challenging, a lot more significant and I decided that being a career woman is what today’s empowered woman should be… In power suits, in high heeled patent leather shoes, carrying monogrammed handbags, driving their own expensive car, heading conferences, living fast-paced lives, like a full twenty four hours isn’t enough to get things done…Glamorous! Yeah, the glamour is all too enticing…

At a Crossroads,” featuring posts about the choices doctors and other health professionals make, and how their career influences them.
Before anything else, I’d like to thank all the medical bloggers who participated in this edition of The Blog Rounds for their enthusiastic response. Many new voices have been added this week - and I am hoping this won’t be the last time they will be joining our particular chorus! Given the very personal nature of the topic for the week, the honesty and candor of all the bloggers has made it a joy to read the stories they have chosen to share.
Now, I would like to help them share their stories with all of you.
Without further ado, I bring you TBR 3 - At a Crossroads.
