How to download a Torrent file

Hello everyone, i just feel like writing today and i’ve decided to write about (arguably) one of the best thing that internet has to offer, which is called the BitTorrent or just plainly Torrent. I know that most of you already know how to use torrent but this guide is intended for noobs, not pro’s (heh). And I believe i need to write about this because most of the posts here in my blog needs the knowledge of downloading torrents.

What is a Torrent ? – A torrent generally signifies a strong flow of something, especially fluids and particles, and in particular water or rain. (Wikipedia)

Whar is BitTorrent? – BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol used for distributing large amounts of data. BitTorrent is one of the most common protocols for transferring large files, and by Ipoque estimates it accounted for approximately 27-55% of all Internet traffic depending on geographical location as of February 2009 (Wikipedia)

Valentine Clichés

I never got any flowers this Valentine’s day. And I couldn’t be any more relieved!

It’s not that I don’t like flowers, I do. I love long-stemmed roses. They could come in bunches or in solo, it doesn’t matter. I’d still swoon. After all, I’m a normal, true-blooded female.

But give me those roses on Valentine’s Day and I’d surely go “This is so predictable, but thank you.”

The Battle Against Chicken Barbecue

Last week, JJ’s bum was transformed into a water dispenser.  Solid food goes into his tummy and comes out as H20.  Simply put, he had diarrhea.  What’s not simple about it was the fact that doctors were not able to pinpoint the exact cause of it–whether it was bacterial or viral.  So, they strapped him down with the usual thingamajigs that hospitals hook up to their patients.  A straightjacket was one.

What You Ought to Know About Cebu’s Pizzas

Not so long ago, the only pizza restaurants here in Cebu are the familiar and somewhat expensive international brands like Pizza Hut &  Shakeys, and of course the unforgettable Mom’s Pizza (or Yummy’s).

But now there are a lot of pizza places in Cebu that have found their own niche by offering something different yet attractive to the discriminating taste of the Cebuanos.

It is like one big pizza revolution out here in Cebu but I am not complaining because now we get to enjoy good quality and innovative pizzas within our budget.

In the coming weeks, DiningCebu.com will review some of the fast-growing and much raved about pizza restaurants here in Cebu.  From the famous Alberto’s and their very affordable pizzas, the gigantic 30″ pizzas from Calda Pizza, and other pizza places like Handuraw, Da Vinci’s, Amicos, Jersey’s, JCA, and much much more.

So far the Pakalistas of DiningCebu.com have reviewed the following:

Da Vinci’s Pizza

Goodbye Multitasking!

We all know that getting things done requires a lot of energy and maybe, planning. For the last several years, I have been experimenting on this Time Management principle that I have learned. Its is called “Time Blocks”.

Instead of multitasking, you set aside blocks or periods of time to focus on an individual type of tasks or activity.

You do things with the same thought process, direction and resources instead of doing many different things at the same time.

Instead of doing things this way. [Read More]

Find a Smart Piggy Bank

Less than 10 years ago, I just turned 20 then, I needed an additional capital to expand my business.

And so my father, who was mentoring me, decided to help me get a loan. He knew the owners of Asia United Bank, a newly opened bank at the time. He introduced me to the VP of the company and scheduled an appointment with him.

So I met with him. He asked me about my business. How it was doing? What are my marketing plans? How do I handle this and that? I was a 20 year-old young zealous entrepreneur back then and so I gave him my pitch! [Read more]
