What if “So Fetch!” Happened?
April 23, 2008

Gretchen: That is so fetch!
Regina: Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen! It’s not going to happen!
Gretchen, Regina’s right hand bitch, tried to make “So fetch!” happen. She really did. But alas, it did not. Queen bee Regina’s antagonism didn’t help. But what if it did happen? This being Mean Girls Week, I feel that it’s my duty as a responsible blogger to ask and explore the question “What if So fetch! happened?”

DVD Library #14: Mean Girls
April 22, 2008

To open this totally fabulous Mean Girls Week, I think it’s just appropriate that we start with a review of the Mean Girls DVD. Yes, I got weird looks when I bought it. No, I’m not gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that). I’m just an admirer of this often misjudged modern classic based on a self-help book for parents with no narrative whatsoever. Also, I have a thing for hot girls in pink.

Movie: All Over Her Dead Body
March 23, 2008
The story was about Kate who was supposed to get married to Henry but was crashed to death by the ice sculpted angel. Henry was introduced to Ashley, a psychic who initially was just faking about getting signals from Kate. Later on, as she was beginning to fall in love with Henry, Kate was haunting her (Ashley) to stop seeing Henry. Kate was successful but realized in the end that her purpose for still being around was to help Henry move on and be happy. And so Kate get Henry and Ashley together and she let go.
I guess that what’s love about. Letting go of the people we love if it means that he or she would be happy with another person. But honestly, vicious of me, i want them to suffer as well. ha ha ha!

March 2, 2008
Another set of photos was released by Marvel.com and the other pics were published from the new issue of Empire Magazine. The 1st photo below seems that Logan is ready for a serious head to head fight to… hmmm at first I’m still thinking of the other Weapon X characters will be with him or against him in the upcoming movie X-men Origins : Wolverine.
Movie: Untraceable (www.killwithme.com)
February 23, 2008
A thriller film to watch and to learn a lesson from for those internet-user addicts.
The story was about a psycho who kills people by inviting internet users to join him in doing so. The psycho will broadcast the killing of his victims online. Whenever more and more users enter the site, the faster the death of the victim. One victim died from overdose of an anticoagulant, one died from being burned from the heat of bulbs while his hands and feet cemented. And the final one died from sulfuric acid mixed in water. More acid poured in because more internet users entered the site.
The psycho did this because his father committed suicide and the media broadcasted it without any remorse. As part of his revenge, he killed those who took part of his father’s media exposure. I really couldn’t blame the guy for doing such horrible things but he seemed to have gone overboard.
It just shows how people are callous now a days. Just look around and you will see the truth.
The Return of Filipino Animation
February 20, 2008
It’s been years since we last saw a full-length Filipino animation and that time we all reacted that it is not at par yet with American Cartoons, Japanese Anime, and the general Animation industry in the world. BUT, if we kept an open-mind back then, Filipino Animation releases (full-length or otherwise) becomes better and better for every release.
And you know what? This year we will be able to see the (as gamers say it) “bestest” of Filipino Animation has to offer. Want to see the trailers?

February 19, 2008
The high definition media war is finally over and Toshiba’s HD-DVD finally raises the white flag. Toshiba said it would stop promoting its HD DVD format for the next-generation DVD after losing the support of key studios and retailers to the Blu-ray technology backed by Sony.
Overall, 730,000 units were sold worldwide and majority is in the US which 300,000 of those are Xbox 360 HD DVD drives. Microsoft’s PR Team already sent out a statement regarding these developments and the rumors about an Xbox 360 Blu-ray add on.
The Joker action figure for the Dark Knight movie
February 19, 2008
I just saw this Joker action figure posted in the Darkn Knight group Facebook and I was wondering if this will be their final touch for the Joker figure, it seems that the face of the Joker here looks too happy and not too creepy. It doesn’t look more like Heath Ledger and why am I thinking too much of Robin Williams in this figure haahahaah, maybe this is an effect of too much jokerishism in my life.
Read more and view pictures of the figure here

Passing Time and Wishing a Happy Chinese New Year!
February 10, 2008
Loving the New Layout
Horaa for the Chinese! They invented the fireworks! Moon Cakes! Noodles! Herbal Meds!
I made 2 reviews recently for Dead Silence and 12 and Holding. Both are very good movies. I recommend them….
There’s nothing really to blog about since I’m such a bum right now…. Damn… I am intoxicating myself with Ladytron, an electric pop band thats really into my taste with house-like genre music….
So novelty. I’m not really much picky with music and I don’t know the band or the people who sang that song, but I really love to listen to the music that they make;
I’m interested in the composition, not the artist. Men.style.com gave out their top ten looks for Fall 2008, which is a little bit odd because it’s still Fall 2007. [When we say Fall 08, it means the line is meant to be for late 2008 to early 2009]
The Hunting Party
February 6, 2008
Updated February 6, 2008: The film is based on a true story. The name of the villain in the film, how forgetful of me to fail to indicate this, is Radovan Karadzic - war criminal and former leader of the Bosnian Serbs.
I just saw the DVD copy of the film The Hunting Party starring Richard Gere and Terrence Howard.
It was a satisfactory film, with all the trappings of a lighthearted satire on the hypocrisy of the industrialized countries and the international media. But sometimes the funny side and the serious side of the film fail to gel together.
It tells the story of three journalists who planned to capture one of Bosnia’s top war criminal. Called only as “the fox,†this villain was responsible for many horrors during the war that broke up Yugoslavia in the 90s.
Heath Ledger is Dead

Heath Ledger died at age 28.
Movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks
January 20, 2008
Remember the Christmas songs that sounded like children on helium. Well they are back and now they have a movie, of course, the title is “Alvin and the Chipmunks.â€
Alvin, Simon and Theodore were displaced from their tree home and found themselves in the house of Dave. At first the agreement was Dave would compose songs that the Chipmunks would sing and the latter would get to stay at his house. The Chipmunks were so disorderly and kept of making his place dirty with waffles and honey here and there.
One night, Simon, the youngest, approached Dave and asked the latter if he could sleep in his bed. Dave acquiesced. In the morning, he found Simon on his forehead. Nice and touch scene, this one. Â Dave was holding back his emotions of getting attached to the Chipmunks who were beginning to see Dave as their dad.
The Chipmunks’ became superstars and Ian showered them with toys and gifts. They felt that Dave did not want them anymore, and so agreed to go with Ian, the owner of Jett Records. However, the Ian maximized his investment and tired the Chipmunks to the point of exhaustion. Dave realized that he lost his “boys†and how he missed them and got them back in the end.
One big happy family.
The Other Boleyn Girl: My Most Anticipated Movie for 2008
January 16, 2008
I just finished watching the trailer of “The Other Boleyn Girl” in YouTube and I could not wait to watch that movie. With spectacular casts, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson (two of my favorite female actresses) and Eric Bana, a historical plot, and great cinematography, this movie will surely make it to the top box-office hits.
Movie: I Am Legend
January 13, 2008
Starring Will Smith, the movie was about New York being infected with a virus which was initially controlled or manipulated to cure cancer. However, something went wrong and all the people in the city started mutating and displaying super aggressive behavior. They ate flesh and had lost all their humanity.
Until finally, Will (sorry I forgot his screen name), a virologist who stayed in the city with his dog, found the cure and gave it to the girl who saved his life. There was a colony of survivors in the mountains where the virus could not survive the cold climate. Will gave up his life for this.
The lines that impressed me was when Will told the girl that there was no god. It made me question if there is one indeed with all what’s happening to our lives.
DVD Library #13: Heroes Season 1 5-Disc Set
January 11, 2008

It’s the last day of DVD Week and I’ve decided to make it special. So far, I’ve featured movies on DVD. It’s time to unleash the first TV show on this stupid blog series. Ladies and gents, Heroes Season 1!
…
Stupid crickets. Anyhoo, I have longed to watch episodes of the first season of Heroes as a single cohesive unit for months, and thanks to my former girlfriend (a topic for another time), I’ll long no more.
Movie: Desperadas
January 7, 2008
I couldn’t believe that a lot of young adults would line up at the cinemas just to watch the movie Desperadas. I guess there were not much movies to be seen during the yuletide season since most of them were for the viewing of children. Wait! I am still a child by heart, right?
Anyway, the movies was a little bit patterned after Desperate Housewives but very much Filipino in characters. All the four of them were half sisters. One was trying hard to have an image of still being rich but already in debt. One was trying hard to seduce his too busy husband. One was a sexologist whose domineering attitude turned off her husband. Last was a underwear designer who was about to get married to a recently converted born-again Christian.
Laugh your heart out and enjoy. Warning, not for the conservative type of watchers. ![]()
