Prepare Deed of Absolute Sale by yourself

September 20, 2008

In the Philippines, when we sell or purchase real estate unconditionally, we use a document entitled Deed of Absolute Sale. The “deed” is usually prepared and must be notarized by a lawyer-notary public and thus considered a public document.

Having your lawyer prepare the document usually means you pay more. Nothing actually prevents the parties from preparing the document themselves, and there are quite a few guides available on the net.

Crude, Unclassy, and Downright Cheap

September 16, 2008

Photobucket

She said that she wants to return the purchase because she never wanted to see my face. Actually before she said that, she told me and my shift partner that I was the reason she would never come and visit the store again.

After that she told me I was rude and knows why I’m in this job bacause I’m uneducated and that she would never want to see “his or her face again, I don’t know.” (She’s refering to me, somewhat making an effort to tell me how effeminite I am or how gay I look.)
I have no right to presume who she is, but even though through the names that clung to ther clothing, I can still hear her stutter and that Carabao accent… Yes I’m pretty sure she’s a Filipina. You can tell it from her features. (Reminded me of Doña Victorina)
It actually began kind of a last week when she was donning an Versace-ish dress, a LV bag, and a stilleto sandal.
When she made her puchased, I complimented: “for a pregnant woman, you sure dress good.” She made me repeat it, I repeat it. Then the guy that she is with told me she just gave birthThen she never said a word and left.
This night.(more)

Gossip has become a way of life

September 14, 2008

Gossip, as described in Wikipedia, is idle talk that centers most of the time on the personal and more importantly private affairs of other people. While the topic of the discussion may or may not be necessarily based on fact, there is a discussion that takes place and a satisfaction derived out of talking about someone else’s fetish, sexual activities, or wardrobe.

The Thing About Age

September 12, 2008

There was a time when I was “requested” to buy some cigaretts, even of my outright and my obvious attempt making her know that I gate this habit of hers.

It is a well known mandatory to present your ID for your age. As she ounched it in age asked if I would like to have a match, but I said I don’t smoke

As the transaction ended I was very coy and playful and asked the person in the register if I look like sixteen. I think she was somewhat hesitent to answer so I somewhat did it for her. (More From The Thing About Age)

Annie

September 9, 2008

Well, as this lady was so ‘versed’ with some medical terms, she then suddenly offered to Ella (and to my sister) a 30-day massage session package. I was hesitant at first but Ella already decided to take the package. With the massage package, she claimed that it can cure a lot of illness like hypertension, stress, heart attack, etc… and that’s it!

Learning from Dora the Explorer

September 6, 2008

I was surprised by my youngest son this morning. He came up to me and asked me, “Mommy? Abre mo please?”, while holding up an old remote he was playing with. I stared at him and tried hard to decipher what in the world he was trying to say. I could tell he was asking me to open the back of the remote where the batteries are placed but I could not determine the words he was using to express it.

Remixed: Bench and the Hearing Impaired

September 4, 2008

One after-work afternoon, I went inside one of their stores looking for “emergency” socks. Mine’s all soiled and I need fresh ones to last me until three days after, the day I get my clothes from the cleaners. I approached one unsuspecting sales person to ask where they put ‘em. The lady, about 5′2 in height, shoulder-length hair, charming and pretty, clean-looking and pleasant, was everything that a helpful sales person ordinarily may look like. She then amicably showed the ID hanging from her neck that read, “I’m Deaf.”… read the rest of this story at fritizified.com >>

The Eraserheads: Crossing Paths with Titans

September 3, 2008

Everybody’s talking about the Eraserheads these days. Hardcore fans. Posers. New media. Old media. All because of their reunion concert. This reminded me of how rabid a fan I was back in the 90’s and how casual an observer I am now. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the hell out of them and their music. I just loved them more when I was younger and the band was just beginning to shake the foundations of the Philippine music industry. It is all still fresh in my mind.

Traffic Kills

August 31, 2008

Life is too short for traffic.
- Dan Bellack

I was walking down Manila City Hall last night when I noticed an emergency ambulance helplessly stuck in traffic with its sirens wailing continuously. From the sidewalk, I could make out the driver’s worried expression as he gazed into the myriad of cars in front of him. It was obvious that traffic was the last thing the driver wanted.

Even though I couldn’t see what was behind the metal body of the ambulance, I can almost picture what was going on inside. I can see medics doing their best in administering first aid treatment. I can also see a man sitting by the door, crying and praying, and a woman in blood spattered clothes, lying on a stretcher heavily gasping for air, struggling to survive. Amidst all the chaos and panic swirling around inside the ambulance, the outside was surrounded with cars, motionless and as still as the night.
