It was extremely difficult to post a blog last night. I composed my previous post through BlogDesk and when I hit the “Publish Post” button, an error alert popped up on my screen. Singapore Is Getting Greener

I have read yesterday’s edition of Straits Times that Singapore is getting greener. They even showed a graphical representation of Singapore comparing it from 1986 to the present (see Singapore map below). According to the report of Straits Time, “The area of the island covered by greenery has gone up from 36 per cent in 1986 to 47 per cent last year, despite the country’s population shooting up from 2.7 million to 4.6 million during this period.”

Sun Tech Days in Manila 2008

Almost a week had passed since the extremely pleasing days filled with Java technologies from the Sun Tech Days in Manila that was held at the Makati Shangri-La. If I remember correctly, this one’s the 3rd Java event I have attended since Java in Manila (2 years ago) and the Sun Tech Days (4 years ago) that were both held in the same venue. Well, this year’s the 10th anniversary of Sun Tech Days and there was even a cake made for the celebration:

ümobile First Look

I got my ümobile SIM card this afternoon and obviously, I immediately inserted it on my Nokia N70. It took several minutes for my phone to acquire a signal and several more minutes before I could make a call. “Your number cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again”… Familiar? Yes. The same voice prompt from SMART and PLDT Landline Plus.
