The side of a choosy Taxi driver (who refuses to take passengers for a ride)
December 30, 2007
We see them on the streets 24/7. They have one of the riskiest jobs as they are likely to encounter merciless bad elements lurking everywhere. There are sure fateful scenarios they might end up aside from being involved in a vehicular accident. Its either they’ll be held up by people pretending to be commuter, receive multiple jabs from an intoxicated Mr. Excitement (Bong Alvarez, that is) who accuses them of being led to the wrong direction, or worst, be left inside their cab dead bathed with blood all over the body.
Familiar scene?

Traffic (Original Song)
Lyrics :
This is the third time this week
that I find myself wandering down your street - and i can’t seem to give it up.
I’ve even stopped making these excuses for why you’re stuck here in my thoughts when it’s been long enough. I try to keep myself moving, but i’m not going anywhere..

I don’t know if some of you were already born during 1970’s era; but it’s always nice to look back on the good old days when air in Manila is not that polluted and life during those days was so simple. Remember the bell bottom pants and the pointed collar shirts???? lol
After you watch this Coke TV commercial of Tito, Vic and Joey you will definitely remember the past.

Pinilakang Tabing - Another Fearless Attempt on Filmmaking
October 30, 2007
I bruised my heel after this pictorial. Now, I’m walking like a prick for a month already.
It’s a big dilemma in our part when we are tasked to make a film in school, knowing that us Journalism majors are not provided with enough facilities and equipment to utilize in the field of moviemaking. Talk about journ majors producing a feature film instead of a docu or news vids
The first time we did a short flick was two years ago, when our annoying Intro to Film instructor ordered all second year Journ studes (that’s 25 of us) to compete with the junior Journ studes in a Film fest. For our instructor’s convenience, she assigned her Film Criticism class to, well, criticize our works, do the verdict, and declare the winner, which obviously was not anyone in the fest for the record while our instructor got home with our money supposedly for the fest proper. (Our plans of getting a refund didn’t even start).
Our first film, Istiryotayp, was all about the, as the name implies, stereotypical struggles of a Romeo and Juliet based couple. You know, langit siya lupa ako conflict. And because of our director’s insistence, a ‘brokeback’ couple was added to give the movie a little bit of, as the title implies, stereotypical third party twist (the struggling homosexual third party becomes blander and blander nowadays). I portrayed as the stereotypical father who owns everything but loved by none, and then handled everything on the post-production. At that time we were so lucky to have an uber wealthy classmate who, not only that he has a son the same age as ours to mingle with, but allowed us to use his very stylish house that was used in “Maging Sino Ka Man” series. It was so damn beautiful, we nearly had our clothes packed up for the mass migration. Too bad, they’re selling the house for P17M in order to build a bigger, more stylish crib in Amadeo, Cavite.

Sneak Peek: Everything Thailand
October 22, 2007
“Akala ninyo bakasyon na kayo?”
I thought my brain just melted when I heard my thesis adviser told me this. After one hellish and toxic semester, it’s quite depressing to know that it may never end. Still got tons of requirements due next week and it’s almost November. Goodness.
Now you know why my “season break” is taking longer than what was originally planned. And it’s been exactly a month already since my last update. Gah. I missss this blog, I miss making videos. And I’m here to tell everyone (uh, anyone there?) that I’m still alive and plans for my next batch of vlogs are now in the works.
Oh, right. I twitted a couple of weeks ago that my Dad went to a business trip in Thailand. I might do a vlog on this with a special guest vlogger (guess who). And now, let me just show you a little preview - a sneak peek to Thailand’s culture and performing arts:

Racial slur on Filipino med staff? Throw them to the gators!
October 8, 2007
Carlos Celdran’s latest post on the Desperate Housewive’s issue (which comically morphed into the “Cory Aquino as ’slut’” issue) led me to the news of how five Filipino nurses saved a man whose arm was bitten off by an alligator in South Carolina. The man, who was snorkeling in a lake adjacent to where the Filipino nurses were picnicking, stumbled up to shore crying for help. The nurses worked to stop his bleeding and kept him awake until paramedics arrived.

October 7, 2007
For heaven sake, the ruler of this blog suddenly blog again. Anyway after the long period of rest I’ll be blogging again with the new spirit of watching and learning. This past week many media materials came out from my computer and suddenly things went berserk.

How to deal with annoying customers?
September 17, 2007
Being a salesperson I believe is one of the stressful job that I know of, ever. Consider your effort of talking to persuade people and the quota that you’re suppose to make. Those alone if not met could lead to dejection. A funny video of Mr. de Niro shows how NOT to be affected using his own WAY.

Matsuri Tsukuba 2007
August 31, 2007

The first time I heard of the word “nebuta,” it was while watching a TV program featuring the famous floats that the “Nebuta Festival” of Aomori is known for. Although I lived in the Tohoku region for more than three years, not once did I have the opportunity to visit Aomori (I got as far as Akita, though).
Fortunately, right here in Tsukuba we can still enjoy a smaller version of the “nebuta.”
