Tara na’t pulsohan ang Kalayaan2007.

Here’s what we were talking about at our previous post… a PBS special coverage of the Kalayaan2007 celebration.

Today, June 12, we are celebrating the 109th anniversary of Philippine Independence. In line with this, we at PBS would be having a compilation of pinoy blog posts for us to grasp what our fellow pinoy bloggers are writing about the said event. This activity aims to promote awareness about what our heroes fought for 109 years ago. And of course to promote the blogs of the participants and PBS as well. We would also be conducting a poll wherein our readers would be able to choose their favorite among the listed official entries. A simple prize would be awarded to our lucky poll winner.

Please use the form below for official entry submissions only.

For suggestions/comments about this activity, kindly leave a comment here, here, or here.

Thanks!

Mechanics:

  • Author must be a PiNoY/PiNaY
  • Topic is anything related to the “Philippine Independence” now and then. Observations, criticisms, rants, musings, etc.
  • Entry must be re-posted at the PBS group blog under the Kalayaan2007 category. An excerpt would do but full article is suggested.
  • To make the entry official, the author must leave a comment at this page with the following info: [1]Name, [2]Title of entry, [3]URLs of entry (both original post and group blog re-post).
  • Make sure to put a valid email in your group blog profile. We’ll contact you with that email in case you win the contest.

Schedule:

  • June 18-24 - Polling period (CLOSED)
  • June 25 - Announcement of winner! (Peachy Galias)

Judge(s):

You, me & the entire blogosphere.

Prize(s):

One year WordPress hosting (500Mb space with 15Gb bandwidth) at dYu & B’s Dreamhost account where PBS is currently hosted. Domain registration not yet included. Maybe we could find a sponsor to shoulder a domain registration. Just maybe. :) Additional prizes would be given as we get more sponsors.

Sponsors:

We’re still looking for additional sponsors. Would you want to be one?

Kindly help us spread a word about this activity. Thanks so much!

Note: If you would like your post or somebody else’s post to be included in the compilation of Kalayaan2007 blog posts but opt not to participate in the contest, you may submit it at the auto-linky form below.
