The Amazing DGT-CEB Trip (Part 3): Twin Lakes

This is a continuation of our trip in Dumaguete. The previous post, we toured the Casaroro Falls with Kuya Glenn, the tour guide/driver from Harold's Mansion and Ms. Gigi Neal, a fellow tourist from Germany who is an assistant director for TV. (Punchline: Who worked previously with Mr. Christoph Waltz!) March...

Ba-lik sa Bohol, Ba-lik! (Ba-lik! Ba-lik!)

I have a severe case of “Last Song Syndrome”. The song “Balik sa Bohol” kept on playing in my mind from the first time I’ve heard it at the very scenic Loboc river up to the departure area of Tagbilaran airport. And just like the song, images of the scenic Bohol also kept on flashing in my head as I relish the moments I was there.

Wings Over Asia

I first met Meng Ng at the Philippine Balloon Fiesta in 2005.  His Wings Over Asia website was then a budding start-up effort.  Today, Wings Over Asia is a general aviation powerhouse.   Website, social network, flight planning resource, aircraft sales and marketing resource, aviation...

Krup-krup

En route from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, our van stopped over at Kampong Thom, a province two hours from Siem Reap. A stall on the sidewalk had crickets...and beetles (or what I hoped were beetles and not roaches):I don't really care about edible insects, I was more interested in the persimmons and pomegranates...

There are so many things to write about and so many things to share. I know that I am not obliged to make a thorough documentation...

My Friend Pigeoto

Hey there! You alone?   You don't look happy to me. Any problem? Can I sit beside you? Okay, I'll just sit beside you anyways. Oh by the way, I am Pigeoto. I know. You don't feel like talking. I mean who would talk to a bird? Especially a pigeon like me. Look at the other pigeons, they don't...

Road Accident Magnet

It makes me wonder how some people manages to be on the road for so many years without meeting any accident while I already have four counts of incidents in less than three decades. [1] First accident was when I was still a kid between age 4 to 6. My uncle took me for a ride on his bike. I was sitting...

Big Bang

Talk about starting the year with a bang! I just recently said in another blog post that there are a lot of things we can be thankful for if we only learn to look at it with the right perspective. Well today, I like to exercise that concept – I want to see that the glass is half full. I am thankful...

REVIEWS: Adventure Comics #5, Invincible Iron Man #21

Oh look, it’s me again, battling a fever so I can write up the blogosphere’s best (even though it’s a few days deleyed) comic book reviews! Adventure Comics #5 I didn’t like Adventure Comics #4, for some reason. Maybe I was accustomed to Blackest Night tie-ins taking themselves...
