From mass murder to one act of rebellion

Okay. I really don’t find the declaration of martial law as a good step to solve the Ampatuan Massacre. After all, the Constitution only states that there are two situations where a martial law can be proclaimed, either if the state is under invasion or rebellion. Obviously, the situation goes to the latter. Rebellion.
The Ampatuan massacre killed as much as 57 lives, 31 of which are journalists. Only Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan is under the hands of the government. He was charged with 25 counts of murder. All witnesses point him as the mastermind of the killings. Weeks have passed and until now, no one is convicted for the criminal act. This led to the declaration of the much-feared martial law.
If the state is inflicting countless murder to its people, will you consider it a rebellion? Or if it is the state which started the whole disorder, is it a rebellion? Let us not forget that this is a crime done by those in position. Those people who belong to the offices of the state are the ones being accused of such crime.

i’ve been searching around on how blogging started and found Clive Thompson’s The Early Years, thought i share this to my fellow IT PINOYs…
January 1994: Swarthmore student Justin Hall creates first blog ever, Links.net.
December 1997: Online diarist Jorn Barger coins the term “Weblog” for “logging the Web.”
April 1999: Programmer Peter Merholz shortens “Weblog” to “blog.”
August 1999: Blogger rolls out the first popular, free blog-creation service.

since this incident, various discussions arose such as freedom of speech, responsibility in blogging, blogging as journalism, invasion of privacy, even child-abuse law was mentioned to have been violated?!

The Best Web Hosting for Wordpress
It’s such a shame that many web hosting companies often disregard the specific hosting requirements of Wordpress users, despite the popularity of this open-source blogging platform. I have signed up with several web hosts and it’s quite frustrating to see that some Wordpress plugins aren’t working because some server configuration issues!
I used to host my websites in a local web hosting company because I didn’t have Paypal or a credit card back then and thus was unable to pay for the bigger web hosting companies. To my costernation, some plugins went bonkers because some server configurations were disabled (for security reasons?). Add to that was the fact that support was virtually non-existent and it looked like the company was run by a bunch of salesmen who knew nothing about Wordpress.
