The Seven Seals of the Tribulation Period (Book of Revelation Chapter 6)
By Marcing Pin

The Book of Revelation of the Bible (King James Version) talks about the end of times and the events that are yet to take place. It talks about the Seven Churches, the Seven Seals, Four Horsemen, the Seven Trumpets, and the seven years of tribulation, Armageddon, and particularly, the tribulation periods, and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Cult of Manolo and the Modification of the Bible

The Cult of Manolo and the Modification of the Words of God
By Marcing Pin

Just recently, I encountered a forum about the bogus claims by the Philippine-based Iglesia Ni Cristo (Tagalog for “Church of Christ”) and the intentional modification of the verses in the Bible. The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), claimed to be the largest independent religious organization in Asia, was founded in July 1914 (in some account, in 1913). Manolo’s cult are guilty of modifying the Words of God to delusionize and manipulate people in believing that their cult founder Felix Manolo was the last messenger of God and that his presence was prophesied in the Bible. The Church leaders or patriarchs (the Manolo dynasty) did not even consider but rather ignored the true meaning of the Biblical verses they modified and the historical connections of those verses.

Good without God

Looking at Mr. Daniel Razon’s reasoning we can clearly see the problem: People like him have defined goodness as equal to God. There are two versions of this “argument” – One, Goodness and God are almost the same entity (based of some quotes from the Judeo-Christian holy scripture)...

The Black Jesus (The Black Nazarene)

Every January 9, thousands of devotees from all walks of life come to Quiapo to take part in the procession as a way of strengthening their faith or fulfilling their “panata” (vow) to the Feast of the Black Nazarene. The Black Nazarene is a life-sized, dark-colored, wooden sculpture of a “black”...

Red Cow No. 10

Almost two years ago, I wrote a piece on the coming Mayan eschaton, i.e., how the world was presumably going to end on the 21st of December, 2012. Well, they’ve gone and made a movie about it so it’s not really all that compelling a topic anymore. However, my interest in eschatology in general hasn’t...

A Simple Straight to the Fact Answer Will Do.

I don’t know…maybe it’s a good way to escape dilemmas. We call it here in the Philippines as “pa-pogi points”. Obviously, majority of their cult followers are either dumb or stupid to figure it out. But try reading Christian apologist reactions here in the Internet and you will notice that...

Eliseo Soriano’s Imaginary Argument

If you’re a Christian or to be specific, a member of Eliseo Soriano’s “Ang Dating Daan” or ADD for short, chances are you’ve already read Soriano’s triage against atheism. Using Soriano’s blog post (The Claim That There Is No God Is An Escape From All Realities), well what can I say…maybe...

Hang Him High

The Judas story conflict exists because the fourth century editors who decided which writings should be part of the Bible didn’t worry about whether one author’s story conflicted with another. Those who wrote Matthew says that Judas hanged himself (Matthew 27:1-5 and Matthew 27:3-8), while those...

Sinful Perfection

I’ve been visiting a lot of Christian chat rooms in Yahoo. Well…just for entertainment, you see you just can’t learn anything in a Christian chat room. Majority of people there are too terrified just reading the word “atheism” while others are too threatened to discuss their belief system....

The Ten Commandments

Is it really necessary to display the Ten Commandments just outside the Philippine Supreme Court building? Are the Ten Commandments the epitome of all our morality? Most Christians are familiar with the Ten Commandments, and even atheists like me won’t miss it. OK…if you’re not too familiar with...
