Apple reclaims 16 Domains worth of Web Space

Apple fights back. After the copyright infringement done by a guy named Daniel Bijan for purchasing domain names in the likes of macbookpro.com, .net, .org and .biz. The DOs and DON’Ts of Blogging

Last thursday night, I found out that 98% of my blog post was copied word for word including the original images in a Filipino-owned forum (only the image with me in it was removed).  This resulted to my site losing a lot of traffic considering I was the only blogger who had a screenshot of the subject...

From Vigan to a Newspaper and finally to the Courts: Copyright Infringement

Here’s an interesting story concerning a pinoy photoblogger…

It all started with this post:

Visiting Vigan
“The travel bug bit me again!…” …”Just got back from Vigan…”

Then came the violation:

Major Daily Violates Photographer¢s Copyright and Intellectual Property
…”the MB Feature of Vigan by MAX BALLESTEROS (march 21, 2007 B-5)…”

And now…

Philippine Photographer Sues Major Daily for Copyright Infringement.
“I finally did it.. with the help of my copyright lawyer atty vera. i sued a major daily, a 108 year old newspaper that used my photo without permission. The same newspaper that threatened to slap me with a criminal case if continued my claim.”

What’s next? coming soon… :)

This is an issue that bloggers should really be vigilant about, right? I guess this hasn’t been the only instance of violations done against bloggers by the main stream media. Just a guess hehe. Maybe there were others that haven’t been noticed or maybe have been noticed but never been raised. Just maybe. It’s a good thing that someone already stood up and brought the issue forward. We will surely learn from this issue as it unfolds. Let’s just hope that justice will be served.

Do you know any other instances of violations done against fellow pinoy bloggers?
