The possibility of The King of Filipino Rap Francis Magalona being nominated as a National Artist for Music will have to wait.
Executive director of the National Commission on Culture and Arts, Cecile Guidote Alvarez told that the nomination for the National artist awardees is already closed.
Francis M finally laid to rest
Master Rapper Francis Magalona was finally laid to rest Wednesday noon in Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
During the interment, Francis’ wife Pia Arroyo Magalona remained a tower of strength as she thanked the people who extended their support amid her husband’s demise.
“Thank you very much for your support, I appreciate it,” she said.
Francis M remains cremated
The remains of the country’s King of Rap, Francis “Kiko” Magalona, were cremated Wednesday dawn at the Funeraria Paz in Quezon City.
Francis M’s family said his ashes will be finally laid to rest at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City before noon after a Mass at 9 a.m.
The Filipino Master Rapper was diagnosed with leukemia last year, he died last Friday (March 6) at 12:20 p.m. at the Medical City hospital in Pasig City. He was 44.
