happy new year, IT PINOYs!!!! hope everyone had a blast welcoming the year!
- 2009 started with a sad note, the global recession led to many companies closing (or retrenching) and a large number of IT Pinoys weren’t spared by this.
- US. President Obama’s inauguration posted online was moving and captured the world’s attention. technology was one of the best tools he used during his campaign
- who would forget when Microsoft’s Bill Gates opened a jar of mosquitos on a TED conference
- Philippine Poll automation was signed, a lot of issues arose and things are still shaping up all the way to the May elections

BIG Changes @ Friendster
Friendster.com launched last Friday big changes plus with a new look.
Friendster, a social networking site is quite big in asia, has been struggling to find an effective monetization strategy. the firm rebranded its main website targeting this time a younger audience and said it will shift its revenue focus from advertising to micro-transaction.

iPhone/iPod Touch Game Review: 9000 BC
Verdict:
Heart-stopping and original gameplay complemented by beautifully drawn graphics and animation make this prehistoric tower defense game insanely addictive and definitely one of the best I have ever tried.
Ever wonder how the astonishing cave drawings we can find all over the world would like if they were moving… and shooting and dropping fireballs and chasing away annoying prehistoric birds? Easy enough to answer – check out 9000 BC! This is the game before time.
